It is unfortunate to see a once proud team that had a dynasty is now struggling to pull in 12 or 13000 fans each home game. totally agree with your description of the owner, and not sure that making a former goalie the GM was the best move for the club considering he was only 36 and just hung up his pads. Thats pretty much a guarantee with no experience he is just learning on the job. But now in his 6th year maybe he is starting to figure it out. He did a pretty wicked job of drafting Tavares

Taveras is an incredible player for so many reasons, one of my favorite Islanders of all time even for small amount of time he has played, but I can't give Snow credit for drafting him. 29 other GM's would've done the same thing. I know there was the usual talk about him not being the clear cut first overall but you can bet your ass every other GM would have picked Tavares just the same. I'm not a huge fan of Snow, in fact I don't think he is qualified or capable of being a GM. His moves or non moves for the most part have been questionable at the very least. Him keeping Capuano on as coach(who is by far the WORST coach I've ever seen)and looking to re-sign Jay Pandolfo(1-2-3 and a minus 13 last season)is just some examples of his questionable moves.

Belanger can be helpful, but his time was literally shortened by RNH. Every centre was affected by EDM keeping RNH. Gagner is 2C, Horcoff is 3C, and paying $2M for a 4C is not financially smart. If Belanger can get something good in return per say a 2nd round selection be great. He has one year left and I can't see he is a tough trade for a team to pick up that is looking for good PK and faceoff abilities especially if that team is going to aim for the playoffs next season. Konopka also be my ideal for a 4C. Toughness and face-offs, playing with Eager as 4LW, and sign a guy like Adam Hall with alittle offensive upside be a good 4th line to bang and protect the EDM future stars.

Cole was lowe's obsession... He was completely (frank)ing brutal with us and was a little whiney female dog...unless we are in line to get Stoll back I say keep belanger- as long as he is good in the locker room he should benefit gags and the nuge...
