Further whichever vets are trouble in the locker room should go bye bye...I thought Belanger signed a 3 year deal thus has 2 more yrs left... |

Am told through the grapevine that Eric Belanger and Marc Bergevin are aquaintaces. Hmmm. - Lahey
Did you know that Bergevin actually played with the Sedin's?

Belanger can be helpful, but his time was literally shortened by RNH. Every centre was affected by EDM keeping RNH. Gagner is 2C, Horcoff is 3C, and paying $2M for a 4C is not financially smart. If Belanger can get something good in return per say a 2nd round selection be great. He has one year left and I can't see he is a tough trade for a team to pick up that is looking for good PK and faceoff abilities especially if that team is going to aim for the playoffs next season. Konopka also be my ideal for a 4C. Toughness and face-offs, playing with Eager as 4LW, and sign a guy like Adam Hall with alittle offensive upside be a good 4th line to bang and protect the EDM future stars. - deks1
The dollars doesn't scare me, what else are you going to do with cap space? While a 2nd would be nice, so would an actual guy that can play. 2 years left as well.
Trading Belanger only makes sense if he is a locker room cancer(which has been mentioned) or you have a back up plan in place.
Moving him for a good pick isn't what this team needs to be doing right now. |

Cole was lowe's obsession... He was completely (frank)ing brutal with us and was a little whiney female dog...unless we are in line to get Stoll back I say keep belanger- as long as he is good in the locker room he should benefit gags and the nuge... - saskoil21
Playing a guy in his off wing isn't exactly his fault. |

Everyone is always complaining about guys not wanting to come here.
So lets trade the guys who do come here, especially ones that play their role to a T, and are paid accordingly.
Belangers cap hit is UNDER 2 MILLION. For the love of god, the guy slots anywhere in the line-up on any given night and gives you an honest effort. He wins faceoffs. He had a down year. It wasn't his fault Renney over-used him. Everyone knows the guys isn't a top six player. He is a guy that can contribute some complimentary offense here and there. Be patient.
Belanger is not going anywhere. Anyone who think Belanger is an issue on this team is on drugs. |

If I recall he was tried everywhere prior to the trade deadline... Just did mold well with the oil or macT and his coaching system... |

The only issue is the locker room and if that's a problem you move him, but otherwise I see little reason to move him. |

I remember one weekend in Montreal at an establishment, I saw Swedish Twins and it brought me a lot of joy. 100% sure it wasn't them though, and they defintiely weren't guys. |

And were speculating about what goes on in a locker room on a hockey internet forum?
Belanger stays.

Stauffer kinda got pissed one day when every one was talking about Smyth as some sort of god, he went on to say you'd be surprised to see exactly what he is in the locker room.
He didn't come out and see he was a problem like Gregor did with Belanger, but put the lego blocks together. |

Hey sometimes I wish I was older so I could have a wife to (frank) on command. Or whatever you do. - Jack-artist
Not sure that would work in a traditional marriage but if you become a Mormon and adopt their polygamy policy, then you greatly increase your odds of being able to have sex on demand, and with multiple options to choose from |
