He's 47 years old, I think he should just give up on high school at this point.

I never said Nickleback had talent. But if I had to choose.

A) Travel the world make a pile of money and bang a large variety of chicks.

or

B) Contribute the so called "cool music" and have my hockeybuzz blogging uncle promote my band while I make no money and get to bang the occassional single mommy who wants to relive her youth.

I will take (A) everyday of the week....

So it is true when they say that 30 is the new 20 judging by how you think having sex with multiple partners makes you a success

I'm sure they don't care what I think and I'm quite fine with that. We all have opinions afterall. There are always various ways to look at things. For musicians, or any career for that matter, I would hope that one thing that they would want is to be respected by their peers, regardless of what people outside of those circles like myself think. As long as you are respected in your given field, thats all that matters in my opinion.

Bands like Nickleback get respect from their peers. You don't see these no name bands that Cloutier likes winning any awards or playing the Super Bowl.

Well unfortunately they aren't too respected by their peers, seeing as they idolize Metallica and lars ulrich pretty much said they suck

Nickleback is like the Conservative Party of Canada, Everyone is always hating on them, yet they always seem to be doing really well.

Possibly, but the words of a 30 year old guy that may or may not still live with his parents and most likely still has roommates, that bases the utmost importance on banging lots of different chicks, are probably the words of a guy who doesnt pick up a lot of women. I on the other hand am quite happy with the one i have, besides dealing with one woman is hard enough work, let alone 2 or 3 or more

Yeah, it would be cool if we both became relevant again... Your team has more going for it just with the fan support. Unfortunately us Islander fans have been beat to shat for too long now. Our owner is a few fries short of a happy meal and our GM does nothing and there seems to be no change on the horizon? It's hard to respect inept people. Every year we all hope for some sort of miracle in the off season that never comes. I do have a feeling this draft is going to be interesting with some unexpected trades though I don't expect you guys to move the first pick like whats being rumored.

Exactly why I don't see EDM-NYI dealing as Garth Snow is pretty conservative like Tamby, and like you said, I almost doubt EDM will trade the 1st overall even with all the noise.

Dude...Seriously?!?!?!

Vinny has not played more than 65 games over the past 2 seasons. Other than being able to score 20 goals consistently he has not produced over 54 points in the last 2 years. His contract is much, much too long (lasts until 2020) and much, much too high (7.7/year).

And you think we give up Gagner in that deal. A player that is 10 years younger and has produced fairly similarly while playing more games over the past 2 years.

One players is on a hard ride down and is completely untradeable, while the other is a developing player on the rise.

And you think we drop 9 spots, giving up the best player in the draft, while having to add a player with a bright future to get Vinny.

You sure you an Oiler fan?

- OilHorse

well, I can definitely see where you're coming from. Don't blame me though, blame the NHL Magic Eight Ball.

I like vinny's experience, he's been a captain for a long time and he's won the stanley cup and the world cup. And it's not like he's chopped liver. The other thing is the 10th overall pick that comes with vinny... but yes, that contract is a deal killer...

Seeing as you seem obsessed with my current situation.

- age 13 discovered beer and girls
- age 14 to 18 were pretty much a blue due to the liquor and hores
- graduated high school on my 18th birthday
- graduated from college two years later
- started a career
- bought my first house at age 21
- got married at age 24
- my career job became victim of the economic meltdown at age 29
- currently back in college to start a new career path

It is unfortunate to see a once proud team that had a dynasty is now struggling to pull in 12 or 13000 fans each home game. totally agree with your description of the owner, and not sure that making a former goalie the GM was the best move for the club considering he was only 36 and just hung up his pads. Thats pretty much a guarantee with no experience he is just learning on the job. But now in his 6th year maybe he is starting to figure it out. He did a pretty wicked job of drafting Tavares

I do not like Nickleback I'm just saying don't hate on them because they're doing pretty good in life, a life none of us would turn down.

I'm going into accounting. Year 1 of 4 just finished.

Laughs thinks I'll end up in prison.
