Nah, I think they trade down to two and take Murray.

Honestly do.

I hope the last 2 days have nothing to do with that. What people are forgetting is our scouts and management haven't even all got together yet to make any sort of decision.

I've just hear a lot of chatter around rinks that he's Tambo's guy, regardless.

I don't think Tambo has the final say. Even if he does I doubt anyone has much to go on, he doesn't exactly leak a lot of info.

This is true...

I'm still sticking to them taking Murray at 2 or 3 after trading down. They'll target a Dman like Savard from CBJ or a 3C like Eller from MTL.

I'd like to get Moore, but considering CBJ has poop for d-men I doubt it.

I think they're underated as a group of Dmen. Need some coaching, but between Savard, Moore, Johnson, Wiz, and Nikitin, it's not a bad group.

I think the Wiz is overrated. I like addition of Johnson and Nikitin, but they need some time to grow. Doesn't help that if you make a mistake at the offensive blueline that your goalie can't stop a chip in from the red line.

Honestly wouldn't mine Eller. I think he has some untapped offensive potential. He averaged about 15 min a game. Good size too. Beaulieu would be another target.

I think one of the biggest needs in Edmonton is a shutdown C to play some heavy defensive minutes. Horcoff SHOULD be that, but dear god, he hasn't shown it recently.

Horcoff would be that if they weren't playing him 20 minutes a night. A guy to watch is Chris VandeVelde. I know he only plays a 4th line role in OKC, but the guy plays quite well at the NHL level. I'd like to see what he can do the next couple years.

Wisniewski is, at best, a #3 on an average team. He puts up numbers on the PP but he doesn't impress me as a defender. The over-rated aspect comes from Columbus making sure they landed this guy and had no danger of being anywhere near the cap so why not? He doesn't deserve that contract but it was probably what was necessary to get him there.

#3 ranked GT prospect in the world...

You'd seriously take a goalie considering the Canucks lack of prospect depth at forward and defence? Not a smart pick.

hey Huddle. If these Penguins and Jordan Staal rumors have anything to them, we could get the 7th (MIN), 8th (CAR), or 18th (CHI) and still have #22.

If we get the 18th and still have #22, would Tom Wilson and Guance still be available or will they be gone by then?

If we get 7th or 8th, who could the penguins possibly get. remember that Shero likes the "best player available" drafting mode.
