Mike Richards on he & Carter being dealt from Philly: "We were pretty mad. Not gonna lie. Id never been traded. Jeff had never been traded" - stveshdy

i don't blame them. then again, perhaps there were reasons why they were traded. perhaps they ought to think about what they might be. then again, i'm sure they're all happy now. i can't believe i'm going to say this, but i think i want nj to win. g-d, help me.

I've seen it said on here plenty of times.
It was a hockey move. To make the team better. So suck it up.

The fact Oswalt wasn't signed to give them some innings with Halladay being gone for two months seems to me that they are waiving the white flag this year. Afterall the built in excuse of no Howard or Utley is the card that will be played.
Watching Blanton and Kendrick throw batting practice is going to get old real quick. - PLindbergh31
They just found out today that Halladay is going to be out. Maybe give it some time for them to chart a course of action.
Looking over the possible UFAs at wing this summer, if Jagr signs for less, I don't see how the Flyers can say no. There are very limited scorers at wing this summer. Doan and Smyth might be interesting but will cost some cash.
If Voracek is really going to be tough to sign, you guys have no idea how quickly I would pull the trigger on a Jake Voracek for Chris Stewart deal.

Yeah, but the Flyers got Tom Sestito for him! - Jsaquella
Thankfully, a 20-year-old dominating a competition mostly comprised of 17, 18 and 19-year-olds isn't necessarily a sign of good things to come at the next level.
