Nobody can prove any tampering.

If a team is dumb enough to leave a traceable conversation with a player on another team then they should be fined for stupidity, not tampering.

Gardiner (Leafs) and Schultz are buddies...so what.

There's lots of guys in the league on different teams who are buddies.

There are rumors that Ryan Suter and Zach Parise want to play together next season. Both are unrestricted free agents to be and while Parise is still involved in the Stanley Cup playoffs, Suter's season was ended last round by the Coyotes. Detroit could be a possible destination for both as the Red Wings are a top team and apparently have the money and cap room for the American-born players. Stay tuned as this has the potential to be the biggest story in the off-season.

I love the "Be a GM" mode, but I hate how long it takes to sim a season. I wish they would fix that to where is was 4-5 years ago... Other then that, the game is great.

True but I think the fact that he is a defenseman and struggles somewhat defensively will have fans hating him a la Matt Carle.

I'm not interested in Nash's humangus big cap hit. I would rather watch the Rangers trade dubinsky, Del Zotto, and Kreider for him and not have any money left to pay anyone else, ever again!!!!!

Sorry, "Nash" in my note was NASH as in Nashville, the Preds, etc...

Honestly, I don't see Nashville having any interest whatsoever in Wellwood, Zolnercyiuk, Holmstrom, or Rinaldo as part of a trade for Weber. And remember, Richards and Carter weren't even close to being considered the best player at their position in the NHL.

Why would Nashville trade a Superstar NHL defenseman without asking for one of your top current star or future star players in return?

Carter was a +40 goal scorer- fairly rare in the NHL... Richards was/is regarded as a leader, huge heart, an all-round star player that every team wants. I think they were close - not equal - but close...

I would like a guy who projects as a top-pairing defensemen, but it's not a move that has to be made this off-season, imo.

Carter scored 40+ goals one season... and hasnt since.

He is a 30 goal scorer who is more of a secondary player than a legit top line go to guy.

Richards and Carter at their best are not elite players nor are they in the conversation for best player in the League at their position. Weber is certainly elite and is arguably the best defenseman in the NHL.

Weber would be fantastic but I think is unrealistic. I don't advocate trading so many pieces and picks it would take to get it done.
The flyers were never one to be patient and add the players they need and let them grow and gel as a team.
The window of opportunity for this team is not small. With all the youth the flyers have the chance to solidify the D corp without giving up the farm.

Weber is an absolute monster. Nashville will do everything & anything to keep him imo especially bc I think Suter walks this summer.
