Via Twitter the other night I learned that the Memorial Cup game was going to OT. I decided to tune in and check it out. I could only endure five minutes. The incessant vuvuzela (or other equally annoying horn) sounds were intolerable. How do fans in the building let that go on? - Scoob
Yeah, similar experience on my end. I turned on the NHL network to listen while I was doing dishes. I didn't notice for a several minutes due to the task at hand, but once I realized the cacophony I had to put an end to it. |

It was pretty well expected that he would miss some time. He was obviously not right. He needs to take some time and get right.

I wonder what Schultz wants, in terms of role. In Anaheim, it seems that he'd have a great chance to step right in and play a load of minutes. If he just wants to get a location, it's likely the pitch won't matter. - Jsaquella
Might want to just be able to select the team he starts his career with in the NHL. |

I'm surprised it hadn't happened sooner the way Charlie has handled him. |

OK - 77rams
Sorry...just annoys me when people say that.
Look at Verlander or CC or anybody on the Rangers. The number of pitches you throw has nothing to do with injuries IF YOU CAN HANDLE IT. Nolan Ryan has it right in Texas. The pitchers take themselves out (pitch count wise).
Doc can throw 220 innings. He did it for years in Toronto also. It's not Charlie.
CC on the Yanks does the same thing. 220 innings, every year. If you take care of yourself and your arm, and you condition yourself, you'll be fine- meaning you won't hurt yourself throwing too much. Obviously, guys just "get hurt". It happens. I think that's what happened to Doc. It's not on him or Charlie or anyone. It just happens. |

Is this another mandate from the Owner?
He said he believed GM Paul Holmgren “has to focus on the defense first.”

I believe Garrison might be in play. Good size and a really hard shot from the point. Hasn't done it for a long time, but seems like he can handle top 4 minutes (assuming also Carle is resigned). |

Halladay has topped 220 innings pitched in 8 of the last 10 years, prior to 2012. The only seasons he didn't were 2004 and 2005. |

The phillies are toast. They never will win again with this group. Their best chance was 2 years ago when they lost to the giants. At least they got one. But they really should've had two |

Some good news on Marc-Andre Bourdon. He said that he is feeling much better now, although he said he still needs a little more time off before he will be able to start to condition himself for training camp. Since it's not even June yet, that's a promising sign.

All those innings takes it's toll after a while. Hopefully, it's something that could be calmed with rest and treatment. |

This wasn't confirmed by anyone. Bob Mackenzie simply speculated that they would have a shot due to their talented young core. Nothing more. |

Do you envision him being a 2nd or 3rd pair guy as he continues to develop. |

It's still early but the Phillies may be selling at the deadline. A change doesn't mean a bad thing imo. |
