I'd like to touch on the issues in the locker room issue. LOL
You know what causes that? Losing does, or at least a team not meeting expectations. When a team is winning and playing to it's potential, you rarely have locker room issues surfacing. Look at the Phillies. Now you have Victorino and Lee going at it in the dugout. Coincidence with the losing? I think not. The losing creates the locker room issues. Not the other way around. - MJL
I hate losing. Anyone who cares about winning should be pissed off because their losing. Why play the game? I agree that locker room issues seem to come up when losing but it happens to teams that win also. There have been teams where players didnt get along but still were successful.
If the partying wasn't a factor, the fact that Giroux and JvR looked like they were both going to surpass what Carter and Richards bring to the table could be it. - roenick97
That could have been a big factor, too...not to mention Giroux's willingness to go along with the whole "social media friendly" aspect of things.
Rumor has it, when the Flyers asked Giroux to do some little PR thing, he said, "I'll do whatever you ask me to do"
I don;t think that Richards and Carter's unwillingness to play the media game was a huge thing, but the way Giroux and others have embraced it is probably more in tune with the focus of the organization.
I didn't know that beliefs needed facts. Never did I once say that the only reason they were moved was because of partying. Never did I say I know for a fact that this why this happened. What I did say is that I think it's crazy for ppl to suggest that we are wrong when they themselves have only beliefs to base their opinions on. But to say I haven't given "any facts" is in "fact" wrong.
Fact: a dry island was implemented in the attempt to limit drinking the night before games.
Fact: Frick and frack (as well as a few others) refused to participate.
Fact: my super credible source outlined what happened in the days following the end of the season and at the Kenny chesney concert.
Fact: they were both traded exactly one week after the concert.
Fact: I'm the man.
Fact: they were both traded - jak521
This is where your mistaken. My opinion on why the trades were made is based on facts. Facts that are indisputable. Such as the Cap situation before the trades, the lack of prospect depth in the organization, and the lack of top draft picks. Can I say for a fact why exactly they were traded. No I can't. Nobody but those on the inside can do that. But what I can do is base my opinion on the facts that are known.
The opinion you offer isn't based on any facts. I don't know how you can can say that your source for the alleged incident, and it is alleged, is super credible. It is complete hearsay. And is better served to be on TMZ or in the National Inquirer then to be offered as a fact.
When I'm dealing in the credibility and character of people I don't know or haven't met. Or rendering an opinion on a situation that I wasn't privy to all the information. I deal in the facts that are known, in coming to a conclusion. And I don't deal in rumors, innuendo, speculation, or hearsay that has been passed down through who knows how many people. Or from people that could possibly have an agenda. And I'm not going to pass judgement on two people based on any of that.
I will judge Hockey players from their play on the ice. Because I can see that with my own eyes and come to my own conclusion without any outside influence or anyone trying to force their own agenda on anyone.
if your offering as a fact "I'm the man". How good are your facts?
We agree on one point you've made as a fact. And that's that they were traded. That is a fact.

Your talking about how many men in a situation where they are around each other for how long? No situation is going to be perfect. Personalities are going to clash. Not everyone is going to like everyone. That's life. It's the same on a Pro sports team. But reporters aren't snooping around looking for dirt when a team is winning and things are going well. It's not news then. It's just everyday stuff that is common. But when a team starts losing. Well there has to be an angle.
And you make a good point. Think about it. If your team is losing and nobody is pissed off. There's no tension. Boy then you really have an issue. Because you have a team of people who don't give a poop. And that's a far worse situation.

Agreed. Your going to have different personalities and players that might not like one another but thats when your leadership in the locker room takes over. They keep everyone together on the goal of the "TEAM" and thats to win. Thats why leadership can be undervalued bc its a grind throughout the season and stuff happens but with a strong group you can keep everyone focused and move on to the next task at hand.

it's a fact. the queen of england doesn't know her abc's.
i want the kings to win due to my hatred of the devils, but possibly more so for my hatred of this one punk retard kid who trolls a lot and calls me a troll on this site.
not to be disrespectful or tell anyone how to feel, but i just can't see how any flyers fan could root for the devils to win the cup. if any team has ripped my heart out as a fan, is them. i hate them so much and wish nothing but pain and misery for that franchise.
and why root against richie and carts? they were so butt hurt when they got traded. they wanted to stay here and win cups.
to each their own. i hope everyone enjoys the game tonight and the series.

This game has no energy. Like slow motion to start. - stveshdy
I disagree, actually...
It has a "different" kind of energy. Lots of board battles and grinding between the blue lines...not really the fast paced, forechecking-based playoff hockey we see most of the time.
