No I don't need you to do that. That is far from the point. My point is that they are all quoting the same so called "source". They're all just repeating the same thing like parrots. - MJL
And they're feeding the sheeple, who eat it up and pass it on with no verification.
I need to come up with a similar ploy that makes money.
Phase 1. Spread false rumor
Phase 2. ???
Phase 3. Profit
MJL, please work on Phase 2. Thanks.

While not tasked with this assignment, I thought I'd make the pictch that for No. 2, you need to create an alterego or fake entity attacking said false rumor so as to incite public madness. Maybe that's more of a 1A. |

Phase 2 is share the same BS with your reporter buddies. That way your BS is being reported by multiple sources. Therefore the sheeple will think your BS is credible.

I really don't think people who live in the suburbs of any big city typically consider the crime in the city. Most people who live in the suburbs never even go into or through the city they live near. I just try to steer clear of post offices. - bodiva88
well that's funny because I do live in the suburb of a city and yes when a dead body gets found within walking distance, and the occassional shooting (3) that I can think of off the top of my head, yes I consider moving and once I can I will so I don't see why since I myself consider it it is totally unreasonable to think someone else in my position would think that. Again I'm only talking from personal experience not based on what I read on a computer with the luxury while on said computer like you and Chipburger to say I don't know what I'm talking about. oh and the city I live in is nothing like Detroit. |

Well, he probably meant you didn't know about Detroit, not your neighborhood that he knows nothing about.
Of course, for all we know, you might be the suspect in said incidents and I am glad I live here in .... someplace else.

Don't forget step 4. Confront the subject with your BS and then when he gives you a contradictory answer. Ignore it and print what you think according to your agenda anyway!
And continue on to step 5. Rage on in a personal battle with said subject. |

well if people followed the conversation and actually read what I said other than taking the luxury of throwing insults It was basically I could see how the idea of living near the most dangerous city in the country could be something a player considers, I never said Ryan SUter isn't going there, or any other specific player. There are players that have preferences on where they would like to play and they don't always disclose why they do or don't want to go. I don't think i've said I'm 100% about this either.
I will say, NO Detroit isn't like any other city and yes there are other hellhole metropolitan areas.
I think I even mentioned this is something I really don't feel that inclined to continue to discuss but then I come back on here and I read it continuing and mentioning of me specifically "not knowing what I'm talking about" when I don't think I've ever singled anyone out for insult on this board especially when they mention something a dead issue if I did I'm sorry. |

Multiple reports have Pronger moving to St Louis. I do know a moving fan was at his house and movers said he was "going out of state."

if he's just gonna ride out the LTIR thing until his contract is out, does he have to live in the Philadelphia area? I know he has to report of an annual physical and all but I don't see a problem with him moving to where he's comfortable. |

Well all I'm saying is I live 10 minutes from downtown Detroit, and my town of 20,000 hasn't had a murder since I've been a live.
People like to talk about how dangerous Detroit is, and all I'm saying is the "danger" is confined to a couple residential parts of the actual city of Detroit. Parts that no one will ever have any reason to go to.
Look, I found a list that says St. Loius is more dangerous then Detroit. And Troy, where the Wings practice 15 minutes from downtown, is one of the safest cities of the country.
http://www.morganquitno.com/cit07pop.htm
I could see a warzone like Detroit being an area a player/person would not want to live in
i'd rather not live with Vietnam in my backyard
What personal experience are you basing this on?
Talk to anyone from this area, and they'll tell you how wrong that is. |

A moving fan at his house? Does it oscillate and have three speeds? Or does it mean a Flyers fan was moving out of state, too?
