Oh man I'd love to get Roy instead of those 2 clowns.

He probably wants a say in which players are brought in. Doubt MB and his staff give him that power just yet.

maybe Roy has a point. did you see Hal Gill's comments to HIO this week? flat out said that the team didn't have the players suited to Martin's system, namely Gomez and Cammallerri, who were gainey's marquee acquisitions that summer. a coach has to have input over the roster.

not a rookie coach. you have to earn that right. i am sure trades are discussed with mike babcock. not with kirk muller.
- Apples

I'm not sure about that. The coach knows better than the GM what pieces are missing. But the GM should always have the final word.

i agree with you . but he should not be able to make decisions in terms of who gets traded and such. not yet anyways. i think you have to earn that right.

again, that's a shortsighted view. you're handcuffing your own organization by making the coach "earn it". if Roy is given absolutely no input over the roster, he should tell the Habs to suck on it.

bad example but, jacques martin wanted hamrlik back and gauthier disagreed.

sometimes coaches don't know best.

but i agree with you, coaches do know what their team names more than a gm.

Sondage Léger-Léger:

Larrrrry Robinson or Eric Desjardins as D coach?

- Sergio le Gros

Big Bird so my t-shirt could be current again.

But I like both.

no of course not. there's obviously a difference between making decisions and having valued input.

i'm not saying he should have no input, he should not have any final decision making. he can recommend and discourage players.

All Wilson has ever needed to make the playoffs is a goalie.

he has more points over the last few seasons than cammalleri does.

not a terrible trade since we get a 2nd and a prospect out of it. and lower cap.

but yeah bourque poop during the stretch.

Yes, I thought it was a "good" trade, in the circumstances.

Kaberle would have been a better example. Maybe.

it's weird though because a year ago, kaberle was a very decent player. the trade to boston (frank)ed him up.

Even coaches don't want to go to Montreal.

Good luck getting Free Agents.
