I've been listening to the last few interviews Trevor Timmins gave, and I really doubt he would draft a defenseman.
I don't think Murray will be available when Montreal picks, but still...He talked about Yakupov today...and Forsberg. Really sounded impressed with Forsberg... - stinger67
Somehow I think we'll draft teravainen. |

Renaud P Lavoie @RenLavoieRDS
Philippe Cantin report that Patrick Roy is still in the running. I have the same info. He met with the Canadiens in the US.
Renaud P Lavoie @RenLavoieRDS
Like the other candidates, Roy will have another interview soon with Bergevin-Dudley-Carriere and Mellanby.
all speculations at this point...but I really doubt Bergevin is down to Crawford and Therrien exclusively at the moment. - stinger67
But because Mckenzie didn't say so it's not true
It'll be Roy |

Wonder if there is a list of the players invited at the Habs' combine next week out there... - stinger67
Culkin, Dubeau, Grigorenko, Frédéric Roy, Bouvet-Morrissette (before he was signed by NSH). There must be some guys like Beauvilier, Bussières, Kamaev, Andrighetto, Girard, Frk.
Most likely all the 'Q players available, plus the top prospects. |

as much as I agree with you on that, I don;t think giving the reigns to a rookie coach is what this team needs right now.
We are building a new identity and bringing in some good, experienced guys.
I'd hate to have to go through an experiment like a rookie trying to do too much behind the bench. - Habssuperfan77
If the other canditates are really excusively Therrien and Crawford, I'd take a chance with Roy |

Don't forget all undrafted Quebecers from the last 6 draft years, all Quebec born hockey players under the age of 16 and all hockey players that have names that sound french that are 20 yrs old and up.

Crawford over those 2 others, but I really hope there are more candidates that they are looking at.

why not, it doesn't cost them anything, and who knows, they might find a good player. Apparently Roy's youngest son has been invited |

I think that where he's at right now, we were all sure Therrien was going to be hired. |

Ce soir c'était le débat des chefs..
J'ai bien aimé la nouvelle formule et le gagnant du débat est, selon moi, Stéphane Dion. Il semble prêt et motivé à gouverner. Ce sera une belle lutte à finir. - KovalevOnIcecircaoctober2008

Maybe....but I consider him as a part in the old regime.....an d I want nothing to do with the old regime.
edit; wait. He had nothing to do with the Habs.
I will go with, not enough experience. |
