As an armchair GM, here's what I'd do this summer...
Buy out Connolly (assuming the new CBA doesn't have an amnesty clause)
Trade Kulemin's rights to the Rangers for Dubinsky (may have to include another asset)
Trade Gunnarsson for Purcell
Sign Zanon to play left side with either Phaneuf or Schenn
Trade MacArthur + for Volchenkov (I think NJ will try to get rid of this contract and may need a replacement for Sykora/ Poni in the summer)
Komisarek for pick (if someone will take his contract)
Sign David Jones (Guelph Ontario product) to play on the second line
Sign Winnik as a checking winger
Sign Vokoun as a stop gap in goal
Sign Schultz if he does indeed want to play in TO
If Schultz signs, trade Liles for pick/ prospect
Keep Lombardi as 13th forward (since I doubt anyone will take his contract)

SALARY CAP: $70,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $68,199,167; BONUSES: $212,500
CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $2,100,833
This is the sort of revamp the roster needs. It may not win a Cup, but I'd take it over this year's roster. |

I like Dubinsky, but as a 1st center, lol.
Rick Nash is the #1 center they need.
Edit: He haven't even said how they'd get Purcell. A 3rd would do it. |

As I posted, I have pictures and witnesses from that event proving I was there.
Punked? Do you think that is some young, hip slang? The only hip you should be concerned with are the ones you are liable to break at any moment.
In the meantime, maybe you should watch less Ashton Kutcher and more Matlock.
- cheatermcgirljeans
First of all Woo said he was there and I tend to believe him over you.
Secondly it's my shoulder and neck that hurts now...not my hip.
Third Kutcher significant other is older than me.
Fourthly nobody cares how smart your wife is. I've seen a picture of you so I can only imagine your wife is missing toes or fingers or is disfigured in some way. |

Shane Doan is. Veteran player, natural leader and a great example setter. Great on face-offs too. |

y'all act like you never had to do suicides... Drills are part of learning to play the game. Yes, practices should have some fun parts and free play teaches the new skills like the slick puck handling that drills wont but a ton of learning is being taught. Since most of these parents didnt teach their kids poop before signing them up, someone has to. - muffin_man

It loses credibility when they don't put a summary of their projected lineup at the end. |

Also, the Habs are not rebuilding. Yes, terrible year last year, but not too shabby the last couple of years. The problem was management and they're addressing it. Good young core, solid goalie, promising prospects; there's a reason MB's hires are ditching their respective teams to come work here. |
