As you mentioned giving up the 3rd overall is not an option unless it is a 1 for 1 type of deal. We give our 3rd and say Weber or Diaz for Huberdeau.
If it is Plekanec as a centerpiece then we'd need a veteran center to come back the other way as well. Plekanec is our best defensive center and whether people want to agree or not, he was the best center on the team last year. Finished with 7 elss points than Desharnais despite playing with crap players.
I want to see Huberdeau but would much rather part with Desharnais than Plekanec.

Why rebuild when a good GM can just trade garbage for good young players.
Ask any young GM who their role models are, and i gurantee Burkie will be in their top 10. |
