Only because i get the feeling they are going to draft Grigs anyways and at least he performs with Roy as coach, what if he and Therrien (frank)ing hate each other?

Truth be told, I'm happy it isn't Roy, only because of what I saw from him in the Juniors...

Which english speaking candidate would you have choose? Not that i'm high on Therrien neither...
- Habsody

I wouldn't say he was great but given a chance and a team with some semblance of a defense, Renney Could have been considered.

Everything habs related had been positive prior.
- habby

Funny i cannot recall too much to be positive about in habsland for the last 20 years, a fluke great regular season, a fluke great post season, and the rest has pretty much been a complete disaster. So yeah, in total, you have a valid point as well.

Who cares who coaches this team for the next 2-3 years, they will suck anyway. Kaberle and Gomez are still around, the defense still sucks until the rookies get some experience in the AHL, Plek has no good wingers, depth at forward sucks...don't expect much from this team for a few years.

You think they should have hired Ron Wilson?

Ya know, you cant change Roy from being Roy, no more than you can change Brunet from being Brunet. However, that being said, the guy wins. And that is all i give a (frank) about, the habs winning. Not the language, not the coach, not the media, the fans, or even if the team itself is happy, just (frank)ing win and I'll be happy.

I think he's gotten more out of lesser teams than either Crawford or Therrien. I really had zero interest in Crawford, I don't think Therrien is awful, I just think there had to be better more creative options.
- habby

Crawford seems out of touch maybe? i mean his last 2 stops didn't go so well. though he was fired in dallas after one year of missing the playoffs by a point i think....

I think Therrien will make a team out of this bunch of players, something we haven't seen for 3 years during 2½ playoff rounds.

Yes, and after Therrien wins 5 straight wins, he'll be the best thing since sliced bread.

Then get fired next season because his players hate his guts. Promote your AHL coach and win the Cup! Right?

I dont think, Toe Blake, Scotty Bowman, or Richard Irvin could make a (frank)ing team out of this bunch of players, be nice to see Markov healthy for a full year though.
