So Gagner, 2013 1st and PRVfor Lucic is a no go

I laugh in Edmonton because we drafted Jacques, Winchester, Radunske, Mikhnov, Caron, etc... And people still want to just draft these guys because it's so easy to find the Lucic's of the world.

You know me-- I like those types of players, big power forwards like Brown/Lucic/Clowe/etc. But they are hard to find. I think it's worth looking for, for sure, but you'll likely have to take a few chances.

Anyone who knows me knows that I think teams should build with skill down the middle, and use some bang/crash type forwards on the wings. Look at a guy like Kunitz.

How did Faksa do at the combine? I expected him to put up some good numbers with his size and physical maturity.

I sooner take the risk in the 4th round and later.

I've witnessed first hand what stupid drafting does to a franchise, especially one that doesn't have the luxury of going the UFA route if drafting fails.

I'm of the belief that if you trust your scouts they'll find legit players. I don't like "consensus", I'd much rather have my scouts be able to identify players who will play in the NHL.

Watched it the other night, it's funny but yet they throw the whole if you weren't a fighter you'd be a bum angle.

I just like that the players we are drafting aren't retiring right after being drafted. One step at a time for this organization.

You'd think that. It's funny last year I was more intrigued with what we were doing at 19 and 31 and so forth, samething again this year.
