Hopefully Ralph has a good diet recommendation that prevents broken feet and concussions. Otherwise might as well keep what we have. |

Ralph can't even spell concussion and his own feet are broken. |

so you think the Flyers lack of a championship should cost the athletic trainer his job? I think the crazy amount of praise he gets league wide should be indicative that he is doing a damn good job. - jak521
Didn't say that. It's been established some of the injuries are bad luck, concussions and broken bones aren't injuries that can be prevented, but have the Flyers had a litany of muscle strains, core injuries, etc..? Those are injuries that can be avoided at times.

Status quo! If it's not broke, don't fix it! New motto!
Or maybe it should be if it is broke, don't look for solutions. |

If you can find me a witch doctor that can prevent the type of injuries that plagued us this year let me know! |

You mean after Lava did his magic act? Any rookie goalie would have felt the same way. Should have just let him play.

Find me a breakdown of the comparison between preventable injuries and those that aren't and we can see if you have a point. Or are you just making up whatever you want? |

I'm glad there's no middle ground between 'status quo' doing nothing and 'change for the sake of change' knee jerk reactions to everything. |

I know I have a point. Don't need to find any comparisons, if you don't think core injuries can be prevented to an extent then I can't help you. |

Actually, I asked you to show many of the flyers injuries have been "core injuries" that have been preventable. Not whether or not core injuries can be prevented. |

please don't kill me for suggesting this, but would anyone see bob and read for the 2nd pick (columbus) as a good trade for both sides? |

I dont understand how you can say a kid who hasnt done anything in this league will be a better net-minder than a guy who is a bonefide upper-echelon goaltender now. I respect your opinion... just seems more like something you want to believe than something that is being shown through play. Bob played very very well to start the year last year, and then saw a slide in his play... a slide that carried over into this season where he had a .899 save% and a 3.02gaa...
EDIT: Yes he is very young and what not, but I wanna see evidence before I can say I think he will be better... right now i dont think it will happen. But I would love to see him stay as a back up and continue to develop. - jak521
He's been a number 1 goalie for a time in this league, a league where's he's only been in for 2 years now. So the fact that he made an NHL roster says he's done something. Sure he doesn't have the track record as Bryz but what goalie who's been in the league 2 years can compare to a guy who's been in the league 10, short of winning a cup?
He played sporadically at times this year and his play showed it. At times though he also played very well. I think you're selling Bob a bit short in my opinion.

Didn't JVR have a core injury? I guess that is a bad example, a fruit fly had more of a shelf life than he did this year. |

I think Read's contract (900k cap hit) makes him a premium player for the Flyers. A 20+ goal scorer, and a responsible defensive forward with that price tag is like having a winning lottery ticket. |

I find that hard to believe. He's one of the hardest workers in practice, something his goalie coach has noted. I don't think that's a sign of a guy who's not mentally tough. He made the team his first year coming over to North America, played away from his family and had to wait until he crossed the border into Canada to see his soon to be wife and still won 28 games as a rookie. Again not a guy who comes off to me as not mentally tough.
Gotta disagree there.... |

Keep the entire staff, and lead the NHL in lost man games!
Keep everyone forever! When McCrossin dies, don't replace him, simply put an earn with his ashes on the bench. |

I think Josh Harding would be a strong back up. I always liked them, it's a shame he got hurt. It's seems he had a bounce back season last year. I think he could be the next Brian Elliott. |
