would you like that deal?
jvr or schenn for enstrom? - Marc D
I rather move Hartnell (NTC).
Schenn or JvR staight up for Enstrom? Yes. If he is willing to sign a long-term deal. |

I understand why his teammates would want him back. Flyers need to look at this differently. They need to upgrade defense. Not spend over $3M on a 41 year old when they have younger players ready to take on more minutes. - stveshdy
Apparently money wasn't the issue, so unless Jagr is now fine with a potentially reduced role or the flyers guaranteed him top line and ok pp unit duties, not sure what would have changed. |

Pittsburgh was not signing Vokoun to keep him away from Philly. They signed him so Fleury doesnt have to play 70 games a year. - stveshdy

I couldnt do that.. i think he is a hell of a player, and I would love to have him, but would rather add a more imposing player. Would I be pissed.. no, but I would be a little bit frustrated. |

I wouldn't want a multi-year deal. 1 is plenty. - NickTheKid87
well Vokoun has more than one year left. |

I personally dont see Jagr taking a paycut. If he does then I think the Flyers should seriously consider signing him back. |

I want him in a reduced role as well as reduced money. I don't want to roll the dice on him being a top two line guy still then get zilch in the playoffs again. |

This is my personal view. Its a lot harder for me to find an All-Star caliber defenseman than a forward who can score 20 goals. Forwards are easier to replace imo. |

I cant remember where I read this, but I saw somewhere the reason Pittsburgh moved so fast on Vokoun is because the Flyers were just as interested. Thats the only reason I mention it. |

I think his agent and Homer struggle to get this deal done, just an opinion. - stveshdy
It'll be tough for sure. I got that vibe from homers presser after the season. I think they get a one year deal done and then see what jake does this coming season. it's what I would do if I were the flyers. I definitely wouldn't go long term or by money for him yet. |

The issue isn't the money. Jagr has said its about getting top line and top PP unit minutes. |

I honestly dont believe the Flyers were willing to pay Vokoun $2M to be a backup when they have one already. Even if they traded Bob there is other goalies on the market that can be had for less money. |

that was someone speculating or a rumor which should have been taken as a grain of salt because as I and another poster just highlighted it's complete nonsense. |

I misread but still? I don't think the flyers have been trying to move him at all yet. I'm sure they fielded offers, but I don't think they've been trying to trade him. |

No way. If the Rags want that d-bag they can have him. I hope they sign a whole bunch of malcontent idiots like Radulov. Perfect thing to break up their locker room and ruin their team unity. Plus, the comments from Torts when Radulov screws up like he is certain to do would be priceless. - BringBack25
Umm... Radulov did defect to the KHL, but I dont remember him being a malcontent, or even bashing Nashville in the media. And He has won 4 league MVP's and 1 player of the year. I would rather he not be on a divisional rival team. Especially if he players with Richards..... |

Pretty sure Bill or someone else credible was the one that said the pens jumped in vokun because the flyers had interest. That means they wanted their guy before someone else got him, not to keep him from going to the flyers. |

I'm not worried about playing against the likes of him, the Flyers have shown they can shutdown much better. A 19 year old on a world class player in a certain series comes to mind. |

He also got himself suspended from a playoff game after being back in the league for a few weeks. |

Willing to bet Giroux and Hartnell say they want him back... for obvious reasons, and the possible heir aparent, Voracek, probally also said he wouldn't mind a reduced role to keep Jagr 1 more year... It's possible. |

I was mostly referring to the fact that they have at least entertained offers. The aren't trying to move him but would if the right deal arises. |
