all were cap casualties, except jwill, that was a 'we need a defenseman bad' at the deadline move - flyerscup2011
Yes, cap mismanagement had a fair amount to do with some of it. |

Only difference is it didn't go in, unfortunately. |

In gagne's case it was strictly cap, that's for sure. |

Radulov isn't signing in the NHL cheap. He's got massive offers waiting in Russia. He just wanted to get his UFA status, and see if he could get a big offer from a NHL team - Jsaquella
lol, he better say "see yahhh" b/c he isnt worth anything major. Polie more or less said, "Dont let the door hit your ass on the way out" lol |

I'd like the Flyers to stay away from Radulov. He seems to be another Zherdev in the making, tons of talent but very questionable work ethic. Quite frankly that is not something I want on this Flyer team. |

Jagr looks like he's staying. Not sure about that, but Giroux really wanted him to return. - Jsaquella
I'm sure he had a huge influence on the players but is he worth the money? The Flyers have other people to take care of first such as Carle and Voracek. If Homer wants to add another defenseman it makes sense to not tie up another $3+M in Jagr. Will see what happens. |

I'm already convinced despite the outcome of this series that it was the right move. - JoeRussomanno

With a $70mm cap, they can afford him. |

I'm thinking that money isn't an issue for Jagr at this point. It seems as though he wants top end playing time more than anything else. If the Flyers agree to give him that time I could see him signing for 2mil. For that price Jagr is an absolute benefit no matter what. |

I really wish the Flyers could somehow pry Voynov out of LA. He's going to be a stud |

Yo Mook. How's it going buddy? I'm hanging in there, I think I will be at full speed when I have to walk the plank in a few months. - PLindbergh31
nice, got one test left and I have a Police job here in KS. Should be getting into the Academy in July. The Chief really wants me and unless I funk the Psych exam I am good to go. |

I guess they would have to spend over the cap during the summer (10%) and then make the roster moves once the season starts.
I personally dont like the move. Jagr looked like a burned out player down the stretch. I can understand if people want to keep him but I'm not one of them. |

Yep. I understood moving Gagne, he was on the last year of his deal, and wasn't part of the future plans. That makes plenty of sense, taking back a dead weight awful contract in Walker defeated the entire purpose of the trade. |

If you can get him under contract for 2mil I think the positives he brings to the team outweighs the negatives. |

I'm ambivalent on Jagr. I like what he could bring, hopefully he doesn't over train as he seemed to do this past season.
They're going to spend over the cap in the summer regardless if they keep Jagr or not |
