I think you are underrating Enström. He's small but he's an All-Star caliber defenseman who is also better defensively than you might think. He'd be the ideal heir apparent/replacement for Timonen.
Depending on Enström's signability to a long-term extension before he hits the UFA market next summer, I would be OK with the Flyers making any player but Giroux or Couturier the key to an Enström deal. - bmeltzer
Trade JVR.... |

Schenn would be the obvious starter in that deal, IMHO. |

Trade JVR.... - Philly1980
They would have to take back Enstroms money so they could move JvR or just let Carle walk an get another defenseman. They would have options if they decided to make a run at Enstrom. |

Tobias Enstrom will play the final year of his current contract during the 2012-13 season. GM Kevin Cheveldayoff is in need of some help at the forward position and a top-six center could probably be acquired in a trade that could include Enstrom. This is merely speculation though because it's unlikely that the Jets are shopping the offensive defender. However, it could make for an interesting story around deadline day depending on the team's situation and where the two sides are in their negotiations. Source: Winnipeg Free Press - stveshdy
I wonder if we do trade for Enstrom, if we could also get the rights for Kyle Wellwood... |

I read that the Jets need a center for their top 2 lines. They'd probably want Schenn (knowing Couturier would be unavailable). |

Schenn is such a strong prospect, I don't know if I give up much more then Schenn in a package. Maybe a later pick, or a current prospect, but definately no other current roster players... right? |

the other poster wasn't asking that, they were asking if another team ever won the cup with only two playoff losses. |

I love Enstrom, but I'm not so sure I'd give up Schenn for him. |

He and JVR are two players I'm really interested in seeing how they progress this year. I'd be hesitant to trade either guy unless its a clear cut win for the flyers. Haven't watched enough of enstrom to really have an opinion on thy type of trade. |

Enstrom is a really good defenseman. He was injured this season because of a shoulder injury I believe. He came back and played but like Bill said he's an all-star caliber defenseman. |

anyone interested in throwing a bit of money to Knuble for a 1 yr deal? |
|
|
|
I would trade Read and Simmonds in a second.
Simmonds is good but not great. He seems to lose the puck in his skates a lot.
Read is the same - good but not great.
If their values are high, make a trade happen. But I still don't see the future big trades that others do here. |

I agree, but I do believe Enstrom is worth 1 of them. I would be willing to make a deal. But if your telling me it has to be Schenn plus Meszaros or something like that, then it's too much. I wouldn't even want to give up Schenn and this years first. But first I would have to talk to Enstrom to see if an extension is possible. |

I wish the Flyers would move Schenn to center and push Briere to the wing. |

I wouldnt trade them just to trade them. They both put up 20-25 goals for pennies on the cap... However, if you can get Enstrom for Read and Simmonds..... done, and done. |
