That young kid (think rookie) Slava Voynov looks pretty friggin' good to. - stveshdy
I was going to mention him, too. He stepped in after JJ was traded, correct? |

we all saw what the team can do when they are healthy...that's the big "IF"...
the kings are healthy, the Blackhawks were healthy...
it just seems like the Flyers cannot catch a break. That's what i would look into...although i doubt anything will come up other then "bad breaks" - phi1671
Theres noway to avoid injuries. They just happen. I hear what your saying though it would be nice to have a healthy team in the playoffs for once. |

Any player by player comparisons (which I started). Might make for some good arguing (I mean debate).
Briere v. Richards (ill take Richards)
I think I am the only one on the board that would take Penner in a trade for Read (absent the salary).

Personally, I'd love to have Jagr back at the same amount. I know his body broke down, but I think he can still contribute. If the cap goes up, I think it's a no brainer. Also, sounds really like Prongs is done which is no surprise, and that Homer's just saying what is necessary to LTIR him. - Hextall271
Mez's body broke down - younger then Jagr
JVR broke - younger then Jagr
Kimmo broke down - younger then Jagr
Yes, he's older...I just lean towards being in favor... |

Half of all people have IQs under 100. Having them drive CARS is scary. Having them carry guns is scarier. - bodiva88
Having them use abortion as a form of birth control... even worse...
too political? Maybe we can end this discussion. |

it would be nice to see a healthy team on the ice during the playoffs...
i don't know, sometimes I believe they work out so much, they almost put a strain on their body and it's waiting to break. if there was such a thing |

Last year, wasn't Stamkos the unrealistic rumour du jour?
This year, I'm torn between Parise and Suter as the unrealistic option. |

If someone had a gun to my head and said I had to trade JvR for Schenn.. id say pull the trigger.
No BS. I would. 10 days a weak. - jak521
Nice blending of several of the current topics in the thread into one comment. All you left out was a mention of Radulov.
Also, I left out Carle in my last post. Luke Schenn is not better than Carle either. I really fail to see the fascination with the guy, beyond the fact that his little (and better) brother plays here. If he couldn't even stay in the starting lineup in Toronto, why would we want him at all, let alone for JVR? |

A co-worker suggested this was related to a power struggle between he and Andy Reid. I don't know much at all about football, any truth to this? |

Good point - Toronto sucks.
Personally I would make a trade for Schenn but not for JVR.
Still don't agree with the constant thoughts of shipping JVR.
Does anyone else think that Carter and Richards tanked the game last night so they could celebrate the cup right in our backyard (to rub it in)? Just a conspiracy theory.

That's another concern I had, though not my initial reaction to the suggestion of acquiring Shultz. It might not historically be their strong suit, but I wouldn't ignore the chance to get him and begin reversing that reputation. - BulliesPhan87

So the best line on the ice the entire night "tanked" on purpose so they could win in our backyard?

what is scarier is 100% of the criminals that carry guns have an IQ under 100.

and just when I thought nothing could trump "JvR faked an injury to prevent a trade".. this comes along. |
