Agreed, here's a crazy thought, Poile has to know before the draft whether he can sign Suter or not. Would he trade Suter's rights and also trade Weber? Not resign Carle, Kimmo's money comes off the books next year, and Pronger will be on LTIR. Nashville would have to take money back in the deal, but they did once trade Kimmo and Hartnell (granted both were UFAs). I know its stupid crazy, but - ravishingone
I think that Carle's getting re-signed, regardless of what else happens. As for Nashville, They could see both Weber and Suter go, or end up re-signing both. I don;t see it as a fait accompli that both are goners. |

Yes really. Carle is far from a disaster in his own end. That couldn't be further from reality. He's a solid defender. And the contract that is rumored to be signed is a very fair deal for the player and the team. The issue is your inaccurate assessment of both players. - MJL
Says you....he is a disaster in his own end......he is soft and weak on the puck....it's my assessment.....he's a giveaway machine.....saw it all year.....you don't agree so be it ...not sure what your watching ......I hope they let him walk. As far as JVR...keep drinkin the orange kool aid fella.

Like I said, the real problem is now evident. Have a good night. |

No kidding he's an incomplete! LOL That's the whole point. So how can you place final judgement on a player who's just getting started? - MJL
I never said it's a 'final' judgement.....that would suggest he's a bust and that's not accurate at all.....and he was just getting started 3 years ago.....here's a question for you.....is he untouchable? Because I am saying he shouldn't be if it means bettering this team.....there are number of guys who I wouldn't trade.....JVR isn't one of them. |

I think the problem Nashville has is not necessarily spending to the cap, but competing against the big market teams who can maximize money spent in the first couple of years in a contract. For example, the Rangers are paying Brad
Richards $33 million in the first 3 years of his contract, if I'm Weber and Suter I would want some of that action. You have to believe both will be getting similiar contracts, Weber probably will get even more. |

I never said JVR is untouchable, and I haven't read anyone else say he was either. And yes, when you said you don't believe that JVR will reach his potential, that is a final judgement. And it's a foolish judgement to make at this point of his career. And he is still in the early stages of his career.

I simply was asking is he to you?......could he develop into a 35 goal scorer.....yup...I don't see it happening...that's just my observation....if he stays I hope I'm dead wrong.....foolish is to say he's a bust....I have never said that.... doesn't always have to be black or white ......I simply am giving an assessment of his first 3 years ....to me his play overall is underwhelming......not for a rookie ...or a second year player.....I'm talking all 3 years. |

No doubt. Rarely a dull moment being a fan of the Flyers. Provide entertainment on and off the ice.
You were right about Game 5. I hope the rest of your prediction holds true |

Edzo just predicted a Kings win. Ummm... when does someone actually calling the game make a prediction?
That was very odd. |

Just found out that if there is a game 7, I have a ticket to go to the game. Still can't root for the Devils tonight even with the chance to see a game 7 of a SCF, something that is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If I knew the Devils would lose a game 7, I would root like hell for them tonight, still can't take the chance as I don't think the Kings would be able to win with all the momentum against them.
Any normal person would just hope to see a game 7 of a SCF in person, I just can't bare to see the Devils win another Cup, let alone in person. If I'm in the building and the Devils win, I will go up to the concourse when they present the Cup.
I got issues. - PLindbergh31
Before the series started, I was ambivalent.
As soon as I turned on the first game, my hatred for the Devils came to the fore. |

That Pacman/Bradley fight was the most unbelievable thing I have ever seen. Bradley won two rounds max, and got the decision. Such a corrupt sport. Horse racing and boxing both had a brutal weekend. Sports are both desperate for something great, and they go backwards bigtime. |

The funny thing is they had posters and everything made already for a rematch that would take place 5 months later. How does that happen? The winning fighter said "I'll have to look at the tape and see if I won the fight". Are you kidding me?
Ill give Bradley mad respect he fought with a broke foot and a sprained ankle on the other. |
