Really happy for Gagne as well..
It's funny I really wanted to "own" part of this kings win, since I haven't been in Philly for a Cup Win. It just didn't feel that way.
I'm really happy for Gagne and Hextall and that is where it kind of ends. |

I'm glad it's over and the offseason is here...
No reason to have the NHL season finishing up in June.
I know it's all about the $$$
Anyone that was on twitter last night should've read Bundy's tweets...
Classic!!!
Happy for Hexy, Gagne and Stevens...
Onto to next year. |

I watched the first two periods...
I was more into hoping to watch the Devils lose more then Kings win.
The hit from Bernier and the call was legit...the complaining from the Devils about the lack of call from the Gionta hit was just comical to me. |

According to Leed, the ballpark cap hit on a new contract would be about $4.25 million for at least a three-year contract. Personally, I think it will be more in the $4.75 to $4.9 million range, but we'll see what happens.
If Leed is accurate I'll take that deal everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. However, I agree with your predicition range. Carle would be taken a pretty big dicount at that price but I guess sometimes you do that if you love where your at. |

Wonder if this might be it for him, given his history of concussions and all. |

Congrats to Hexy and Gags......
You know here is the Lupul tweet that pissed me off:
Joffrey Lupul @JLupul
Guess Richards and Carter are good enough to get the job done after all. Really happy for those guys.. Sorry Philly
To that i have to say one thing....they were good enough to be on a team that wins the cup....but they werent good enough to lead a team to the cup.... those boys can thank Kopitar, Brown, and Quick for their rings |

I'd be happy if Carle re-signed for $5mm. Very happy if it was $4.75mm and ecstatic if the number is $4.25mm. If it's a twin to the Coburn extension, then I'd be really content.
I want to share a tweet that should be in the blog

The only "lesson" for Flyers in LA's Cup win is the continued faith Kings showed in goalie Jonathan Quick after some rough past playoffs. |

Carter scored two game winning goals in the Stanley Cup Finals. His game winner in game two was the biggest goal of the series. The best series he has ever played in the playoffs by far, was the one he just played. Tough to digest, but it is what it is. |

Agreed...Im glad Bryz's contract is forcing their hand a little. The problem with the flyers has always been that they have not let one goalie stick around long enough to get hot for one season and take them on a ride....

Each member of that team can thank each other because it was a team effort. From top to bottom. Just as it is wrong to say that Richards and Carter led the Kings to the Cup, it is also wrong to not recognize the huge role they both played in the team winning the Cup. |

heres another Scumbag quote from Carcillo...

Why would Carle sign prior to July 1st? Much like Suter he has earned the right to test the market. If he was smart he would wait until after Suter signs because the teams that miss on him may overpay for his services. But in the end I hope both sign with their teams as I like seeing homegrown guys stick around, but I hate to say it but Suter is likely gone, hopefully one of us keeps their stud D men. |

As far as I know, Carter was healthy. Maybe it's just a coincidence. |

Win as a team, lose as a team. They contributed at both ends of the ice. Have to give credit where credit is due. |

Because maybe he's not interested in going out to the highest bidder. And he's happy in Philly and just wants a fair deal for both sides. |

Bryzgalov and Quick aren't comprable imo. One is a 31 yr old veteran that signed a huge contract who has a ton of pressure to play well in one of the toughest places to play in the NHL, Quick is 23 still on his ELD. Don't see how the two are alike in any way. |

Well, if the word that he's willing to sign for under market value proves true, then the answer to that question would be, "Because he wants to stay in Philadelphia." |

Quick is 26 I believe. I hear what your saying though. |
