Thanks, but you changed the meaning then. That's OK. - Vagabond
I guess.. If you're spreading literacy that would have made sense. Oh and it's "than" not then. Then would be talking about 10 minutes ago, but used in your context is improper. If you're going to pretend to be a teacher at least do it right. |

There is an explanation on the CapGeek FAQ page. Something to do with signing late in the year and thus his cap hit is way more. |

If the Flyers let Bobrovsky go, they will regret it in probably... 3-4 years. Unless Bryzgalov gets his head right, he's not sticking around for 9 years. The Fans will be relentless if he doesn't deliver and there is already a nagging bitterness that neither side seems to be letting go of. I ain't saying it's all Bryz's fault (fans and media in Philly can be harsh), but unless he takes some pleasure in when the fans do support him (when he's playing well) he's not going to last. |

Phaneuf + Schenn to the Flyers for JVR, Briere, B Kessel and Pronger. Essentially Phaneuf for JVR and Pronger and Schenn for Briere and Blake Kessel. Family reunions. |

Allaire used to be Luongo's goalie coach and summer instructor.....an interesting tidbit of info considering the circumstances.... - JIMI-JAMES
Yes I know that I'm not about his current body of work since 2005 he seem's to be using antiquated teaching methods the league is ever changing he isn't . |

Yep, forget the fact he groomed the best goalie prospect in the Leafs system, who took the marlies to the calder finals.. No big deal or anything
Now, tell me what Bernier has done to make him worth trading players for when we have a goalie with the same acolades that made Berniers stock so high in the first place. Hell at last years worlds cup bernier looked no better than reimer. |

An 82 game season is different than playing 51 games as a backup over the course of 2 seasons.
Steve Mason had similar numbers in his rookie year as a starter. WOuld you have called him proven after the one season?
Once he plays two full seasons as the starter and has numbers similar to what hhe has currently posted, then you can begin calling him proven. - mfreedman
Ok first off id like to point out that although Schneider hasn't played 82 games, his goaltending in the past 2 seasons has been much more stellar than Steve Mason, EVER. 33-20-7 with a .916 sv % is not comparable to 36-12-3 with a .933. THats ridiculous. Pressure is whole other beast, but from what ive noticed living in Vancouver is that hes calm as a cucumber no matter whats going on, and it shows during his place on the ice. Ive never seen a goaltending slide side to side, and catch a 100mph one timer in the slot with ease. He is no fluke.
-
As for your earlier comment about Luo not being traded, the return in cap is as valuable as the difference in return that Schneider would garner. Trading Luongo free up space for a guy like Parise or Weber (next yr), all the while maintaining there rising superstar goaltender. Luongo has also hinted in his tweets that he'll be moved. He's not going to hold Corey back, he is respectful of the kids future, and i think he's sick of the Vancouver market aswell. He will be moved, and it will be to Toronto. Franson+Salary+2nd/or Colborne, will be what we give them. |

Worst movie I've seen in a loooooong time. So many dumber than dumb, cringeworthy jokes. - hereticpride
If you think this movie is bad, 1. You dont know a thing about being on a hockey team and 2. You aren't Canadian, only makes sense you wouldn't understand the humor. After all, hockey is a Canadian sport. The movie contrasts the hilarity of the toughest role a guy has in any sport (enforcer), and how even though they smash skulls, alot of them really are the nicer of the crop, atleast the ones who fight for their boys rather than their ego. It reveals the psycho "hockey is life" coach, that loses his **** over a loss, along with the sell my soul for the beauties in the dressing room aspect (players who lay it all out on the line for the W), and the joke like bromansual bonds the bro's build after basically goin through war together. All things hockey players can laugh at cuz we've been through it or witnessed it. . All the stuff you will never understand, (until you've been apart of some serious hockey), is what makes it a great movie . Best hockey movie ive seen. |
