The Flyers didn't win.
They still had a good year.
Go Flyers!!! - phi1671
Amen.
I was pulling for the Kings in the Final, after the Flyers were eliminated, but I wasn't rooting with any kind of passion. I don't have a second team, but I will root for guys who I enjoy watching play, or who are ex-Flyers that I liked.
Like in 2006, I pulled for the Canes because of Brind'Amour and Williams. But I didn't celebrate their win. |

Hey leafs fans how many times have you seen your team play in the finals, much less win it. Answer rhymes with shero. Go away and worry about making up ridiculous trades. |

The Marlies won the Calder Cup, Leafs fans are hanging their hats on that. |

I have always liked the Kings franchise from back in the days of the purple and gold uniforms. - PLindbergh31
Ditto. Vachon was one of my favorite goalies when I was a kid.
Their current purple jerseys are so sweet. |

Nope. Marlies got swept in the Final by the Norfolk Admirals. - Jsaquella
Sarcasm Sir, I tend to dabble in it on occasion.
Didn't Norfolk do something insane and win like 47 of their last 51 games? I don't care what level you are playing at, that is incredible. |

It was something ridiculous like that. They went on an epic run. |

Rogie is a little before my time, but I believe Robitaille at the start of his career was in purple and gold, and I remember Marcel Dionne as an old man. |

Don't know why but I like the Flyers to try and land this Shultz kid. - stveshdy
Rags will get him. |

I haven't looked at their roster, not sure if it's composed of a bunch of journeymen, or if Tampa has a boatload of youth that is going to be ripping up the NHL in the near future. Hopefully it's the former. |

Schultz would instantly become the Flyers best defensive prospect, so I'm all for it. |

If they don't get a big time defenseman which will be difficult this is the player to get IMO. Nice young kid who will only get better. |

I'm fine with the Flyers signing all former UW guys this off-season: Suter, Burish and Schultz. |

Let us hope that cooler heads prevail, and that BOTH sides need to recognize that another work stoppage so soon after losing an entire season would be the death of the NHL.
