I honestly don't know if I would trade Sekera who is signed for multiple years for Stewart who would be a 1 year rental. I say Leo for Stewart.. both 1 year left on deals.. both at the same salary cap.

He wouldnt neccesarily be a rental. We need some physical forwards. Look at the last 3 cup winners. All teams with physical players scoring gritty goals. Stewart I think had back to back 28 goal seasons with a down year. Im not sure why St. Louis would be looking for Defense, they have some really good d-men.

Roy+Sekera 2nd for Stewart and Berglund. We had an oppourtunity to draft Berglund and I believe we drafted Persson. Go Darcy

To be fair to Miller, he would have a Cup, Conn Smythe, and a Vezina if our 4 defensman werent hurt against Carolina IMO, I dont think theres anyway Edmonton would have beat us. You have to be healthy, It's part of the reason New Jersey lost.

Because Buffalo was better than Carolina. They just were. We were the best team in the NHL for the second half of that year and the playoffs before we got killed with injuries. Edmonton barely competed with Carolina. They got shutout 2x, and won 2 in overtime. IMO Sabres would have killed them if healthy.
