Well, don't forget that some big contracts are coming off the books (i.e. Kimmo, Briere) in the next few years.
Also, JVR's sizable hit would be moved in the Nash deal. In fact, we'd really only being adding an additional 2 million if Bob were involved. - LordStanley88
Not really. You'd then have to figure in the cost of adding a new backup Goalie.

as well, the Devils made it to the finals led by Norris candidate ... cough Bryce Salvador..cough
just to name a few

I have the same thoughts, but I doubt I could express it as well. And there would be more grammatical errors.

Hypothetical question. In your opinion, If Nash is on the Flyers this past Season, would the Flyers have beaten NJ in that Series? - MJL
If Jesus Christ was on the flyers last season they weren't beating the devils. The whole team had a meltdown and stopped playing flyer hockey. On their heels in their own end, trying to take the puck off the body not the body off the puck.... Brutal. |

It was a nice addition for a team that needs a goalie. |

When I look back on it the Devils had more trouble with Florida, NYR, and obviously LA. The Flyers series was pretty much controlled by NJ. The worst thing about that series was watching the same thing happening over and over again. The Flyers just didn't play very well and they had no answer for the Devils. Brutal is right. |

The other teams NJ played had a strong defensive game, Pittsburgh didn't play any "D" imagine "Marty" playing for Pitt in that series instead, he would have floundered as well.

You do okay. And Bill makes plenty of his own grammatical errors, as do we all.
His point is not lost on me though. As "fans", although I like to refer to myself as a "follower" of the team, and not a FANatical, we want the "perfect" team. In our opinion, shape and price. You can't get hockey fans to agree 100% on anything. Except maybe Gary Bettman. Maybe. We will always have our favorites and those we loathe. It's rarely fair. But it's also not going to end anytime soon. |

Honestly do you see the Flyers changing their style of play heading into next year? They need to stress their forwards to backcheck as hard as they forecheck imo. |

Tony Parker had his eye injured when he was a bystander to a fight in a New York club between rappers Drake and Chris Brown over their ex-girlfriend Rihanna. You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried. Brown and Drake were supposedly talking trash when bottles starting flying and Parker caught some of the shrapnel when pieces of glass from the bottles flew into his eye. "The cornea is affected. I cannot do anything for seven days. Wear a therapeutic contact lens and I get drops. I was lucky, that I almost had to get stitches," Parker added. He should be ok to play for France in the upcoming Olympics.

Nope
Lavy won a cup in Carolina playing like this, (almost his exact words)
Good teams adjust against the opposition a little i guess.
Imagine asking Briere (for example), to play more 2 way, or not to leave the zone too early, (not picking on him per say, but that's an example of the way we play sometimes, and then we blame our defense.
