The fact that the Sabres are thin at center now should have no bearing on what position they take in the draft, especially at the position they are drafting. They are out of the realm of immediately ready NHL players. Yes, the Sabres are thin up front, but that doesn't mean they still will be in 2 or 3 years, when this kid is ready to play in the NHL. If he is that good, and I really have no idea if he is or not (I'm an American, I don't have enough access to Junior hockey outside of the World Juniors and Youtube clips edited for a player's best moments only), but if he is, you take him. You should always draft the best player available. If you have a plethora at a position, then you have more trade bait to fill that position of need. Drafting a positional guy who is 2 or 3 years away just because you are thin there now, when he can't help you at all is not a smart way of doing business.

Just give c-bus everything for Nash and be done with it and then watch him do nothing for another few years. Back to the draft, you take the best player available, no point taking a Centre because "we need one" if he is not going to be any good, if he is as good as he sounds then take him, doesn't sound like he will be available though, I can honestly see Sekera going something in a trade.
