I don't think that would be enough. Maybe our 2nd and 3rd. Omark has zero value
- howamidointhis

Hemsky gets us most of the way there. Omark will have a chance to make an impression in Car. Then there is the ??, I certainly didn't think that would completely do it.

Oops. Didn't see that. Ya I guess omark couldn't hurt. Hemsky, 2nd rounder (Ana's next year) our 3rd this year, omark and maybe plante??

Interesting stuff. I've seen quite a lot of doubters of Yakupov and a lot of criticism which is unusual for a consensus #1 pick. It might just be a little jealousy I guess since you guys already have RNH, Hall and Eberle.

And btw, good block for Once, Cloutier.

Whether he becomes and Oiler or not, I hope the kid is over his injury. Those pre-injury numbers were fantastic... It would be a shame if he's limited to what he can do this early in his career.

I've driven by the place a few times, but I'm a little old for strippers. After turning about 40, everything from the waist down stops working. Ask anyone.

Getting boners while being surrounded by large amount of males kinda feels strange to me.

If I wanted to be around that much wood, I'd hang out at the local lumber yard.

I don't think plante adds much (like Omark, I was thinking a better prospect but stuff like this is adjustable) but I can get behind the Ana 2nd.

I enjoy strippers as much as the next guy, but I cant remember the last time I had wood at a strip joint.

except hemsky is worth a late first roubder at best... and most teams are going to want to wait to see if he can play half a season without crumpling... probably wont get good value for him until the deadline (if he stays healthy) and gagner isn't worth a first rounder by himself at all.
maybe... maybe jerseys first rounder for hemsky....
then ... here is some wild speculation... after philly trades young assets for nash, you trade gagner and mps for their 1st... then you make a deal for a top ten with those two and your second!

Gagner and MPS for a 20th overall? Are you mental?!?

well... gagner certainly wont do it alone.... maybe the two for the 20th and a third or something. my point was... don't expect first rounders for hemsky or gagner. (I admit after the worlds someone might take a late first round flyer on hemsky despite his injury/contract status) I know gagners still young, but he's proven his inconstancy (or is it consistently being inconsistent?) if tambel wants a higher pick for a d-man... he's going to have to pony up real assets

We'll have to add our #1 overall as well.

Gagner + MPS + 1st overall for 20th overall

he's worth more to the oilers to keep him and hope he stabilizes. to another team... at best a second round pick and either a project prospect or a later pick (4th or up)

You're either undervaluing Gagner or overvaluing draft picks. Gagner is a .6ppg player who was on pace for over 50 points this year... He finished with the best plus/minus on the Oilers, and he has improved in all areas of his game. Gagner was a good pick at #6... He's definitely worth a #20, let alone a second round pick... If we traded him for a #20 or second round pick, I'd fly to Edmonton and take a diarrhea dump on Tambs/Lowes car.

neither I believe. Hey.. I'm a pens fan. Oilers are my team in the west. But anyone could list some stats like that and shine a player up. He got nearly 25% of his points in one game. I could do that with paul martin - (2-27-29 +9 last season, would have been an american olympian if not for injury couple years back... etc etc. Both you and I know the pens would be lucky to get a 7th rounder for him, bad contract of course, but if a jones is 4 mil...) gagner has some potential value, but not a first. look at the devils... lou has one of the better track records as gm, yet he kept the 29th overall pick instead of sacrificing it. gm's dont give up that asset for a player thats straddling mediocrity or decency.

Gagner is the most underrated player on this site... Last season (at 22 years of age) he contributed to 3.4 scoring chances per game at even strength, while making mistakes on 1.7 scoring chances against. He isn't mediocre... He's a good second line center. I'm glad you're not our GM.

I realize that I'm a little bit spoiled with having our 3rd line center be a big improvement over you "second line center." but... if your depth has gagner as your "good" second line center, than it helps contribute to the fact that your drafting first. The GM of the oilers should walk around with a perminant hard on with the tools he's had handed to him. (no different than the pens gm by the way) If they don't start winning asap, then fans, in retrospect, I believe are going to wonder why. second line centers on cup winning teams don't put up the mediocre stats gagner did. hope he improves or use your excess in one area (top line young talent (rnh, eberle, hall, the first... forgive me, but hemsky) to get positions you need... goalie (either a 1a to dubnik or a real #1), to 3 d-man, and a real number 2 center. go pens... go oil!

ps turris trade

mid season... player believed to have a higher ceiling than gagner. you might get a first for him at the deadline... from a team looking for a piece to round out depth at center... but your team should be the one making trades for those players at this point.
