The difference is that every player reacts differently to concussions. A lot of things go into the balance. How the player is treated ( I heard a doctor say that the important thing that must be done is secure the head of the patient, and prevent it from moving...that's exactly what was done on the ice), what happens following the concussion, etc.
The problem is that as soon as the word concussion is out, everybody thinks of Marc Savard.
