I thought Wellwood was one of the few bright spots in the NJD series. Even though he might not have the scoring touch, his speed and ability to generate at least a scoring chance were able to put a temporary damper on New Jersey's sustained momentum. |

hated that game - aightwebang17
One of the most aggravating games of the season. Flyers basically gave that game away. Then again, the Flyers won a lot of games this season against the Pens they had no business winning after awful starts.

Snider always gets what he wants! Thats why i love/hate him. Either way guys we are lucky as our team with the exception of a few years is always competitive. Well get the cup one year! Imagine being a TML fan! - Philly1980
You probably don't want what he does. |

Did we get Weber yet? - The_Universe
Waiting to make sure they get Nash to. Exciting summer ahead. |

I don't want to give away too much, but it inolves Couturier.
Homer doesn't want to move him or Schenn whatsoever though. |

Burish is the better player at this stage of their respective careers. He's younger, smarter/savvier than Asham on the ice, and comes without any off-ice concerns. Asham is the better fighter, though. - bmeltzer
no more asham, please. he had some of the laziest shifts i've ever seen when he was a flyer. |

I've seen a trade discussed on here where you guys take Weber, while we get JVR, Voracek, and a couple of 1st's. How do you guys honestly feel about that trade? I like the value Nashville gets back, and I feel like Roman Josi could become another elite defenseman for Nashville and take Weber's place. It's definitely an interesting offer, and our two teams have the history of dealing with one another. |

Bill what is your feeling about bringing in Wellwood's brother who is UFA? - RooNosHockey
Not interested but he did have a good bounceback year for Winnipeg. He realized his career was in trouble, got in better shape and worked hard.
Don't see where he'd fit in on Flyers.

Clearly Nashville would rather keep Weber over Suter if they were forced to choose. If Suter walks July 1st, that pretty much kills any chance they look to deal Weber. I can't see Poile not throwing massive cash at Weber knowing Suter went to Detroit or somewhere else. So we should all really hope Suter re-signs for 6-7mil a season. With Poile dropping Radulov and likely A. Kost, they could use JVR and whichever other top 6 forward we woud offer in a Weber deal. |

Good to know from the opposition bc I don't know if Nashville would make that deal. |

It's tremendous value given the respective upside of those 2 players and how Nashville usually drafts in the 1st round. |

Nope. Right now Nashville cannot meet Weber's contract demands. |

I would agree with Homer. Would like to see how these 2 develop. Weber is great and would be interested in getting him but I would hope these 2 are off the list. Not interested in Nash. Like Parise but probably don't need him. |

Considering our situation up front and with our current d-crop, we take that deal in a second. I have nothing against keeping JVR and Voracek, letting them develop into more complete players, but Weber is EXACTLY what we need, without Pronger and with an aging Kimmo. We could bring Timonen back after his contract expires, but on a cheap 1-2 year deal, taking him to retirement (unless he retires after the coming season). |

They can't trade Coots after his playoff performance. Schenn, I would trade for only Weber, but Coots is untouchable in my opinion. |

If Suter walks, I believe Poile has a lot of flexibility to offer Weber a massive contract. Would Weber turn down 8mil a season for x-amount of years? This is his time to cash in on his value. He could really force their hand, sign a 1-year deal, taking him to UFA next season. That would be an obvious sign he wants out, so they likelihood he gets dealt would be pretty high. |

If* the Flyers do end up trading for Weber, I would like to see Kyle Wellwood come join his brother. Who know what kind of Chemistry they could develop. If* the current rumor of JVR, Voracek, Bourdon and 2 firsts is true (and I do it in a second) we will need to pick up at least 1 winger, and resign Jagr.
Silly Season Lines:
Hartnell-Giroux-Jagr
Schenn-Briere-Simmonds
Wellwood-Couturier-Wellwood
Read-Talbot-Rinaldo
Timonen-Weber
Gorssmann-Coburn
Lilja-Meszaros
Harry Z, Sestito, Gus. Call-up and/or HS.
- RooNosHockey
I hate this silly season lineup you have here. I still see the forward core as being deficient defensively. I don't like the 4th line so much. Kimmo on the top pairing equals him being worn out once the playoffs start. If Weber ends up on the flyers you just know he plays a ton of minutes. |

Giroux and Coots are my only untouchables at this point. I love Schenn and see solid potential in him, but if he's the last piece of the Weber trade puzzle, see ya buddy. |

I'm guessing here, but if Suter walks, then you'd have to think that would make Weber somewhat more hesitant to re-sign. Other than Rinne, Nashville hasn't shown the ability to lock up their own guys. |
