Joe Corvo has been benched for the past 5 games and when asked why he was being benched he responded, "Claude mentioned that I was a defensive liability.”

If we did get Weber, I'd love to try and fit Jagr back.

However, I like the move here as I want to see the dominoes fall before we commit anything to him.

Jagr....he wants to return...wants to test FA....wants to return and has new contract in place due to tagging....doesn't want to return. Good grief. I like Jagr a lot, but enough is enough. I wouldn't mind see him back, but he is not a need. Use his money for Jake.

I'm all for letting Jagr walk. Give his minutes to the younger players. Use his money elsewhere.

Side question, wasn't it this week last year we made those 3 big deals(richie, carter and bryz)? Could it be happening aagin?

I was pretty shocked when I saw it scroll across the bottom of the screen. First I saw Carter trade to Columbus and so on which didn't shock me then saw that Richards had been traded. I was with some flyer fans and they thought I was joking with them when I told them I had just read that. I think it made the team stronger in the long run, however.

I honestly like it too. I like going into the draft where we are and what not. I would like to see 2 trades and keep the FA quiet. We don't need much. Maybe 2 players. Just more team urgency next year on the defensive side of the puck.

I love the way the team is made up. Sometimes you have to trade away star players to get the team playing better. All of a sudden you can't sit back and wait for one to two people to change it all. The team must be better. I like G as our future. Cooter too. I have said it before and I'll say it again, Danny B is worth every penny. He is good during the regular season, and even better in the post season. But what he does off the ice is beyond what is asked. Just a class A guy.

Weber may be available....I think people are mistaken if they don't think the Flyers brass have a major hard on for this guy. He is the biggest, strongest, best Canadian born defenseman out there who is Captain material for the Canadian hockey team. JVR/Voracek are not going to cloud their minds at all and they will be gone in order to get this guy. It gets done and your goalie, #1 Dman, #1 center are locked in for years.

True, other than Nash, I think most of the rumors have been need based.

I still don;t know why they haven't traded Leighton, Walker, Lilja and a 3rd for Evander Kane.

My initial thought was that the two trades were good for the flyers. I must admit though that I thought it was going to take a year or two before they started to reap the benefits but this year they really did good. Alot rides on how all the rookies respond next year and how Bryz continues to adjusts to the system.

I'm not against getting Weber, the opposite actually. I just don't want Cooter going anywhere. Jvr, schenn, vorechek can all be replaced.

Scott Howson is still holding out hope that the NHL 2k series returns.
