I'm not against getting Weber, the opposite actually. I just don't want Cooter going anywhere. Jvr, schenn, vorechek can all be replaced.

There's a lot of scouts that think Schenn has as high, if not higher, ceiling than Couturier.

My initial thought was that the two trades were good for the flyers. I must admit though that I thought it was going to take a year or two before they started to reap the benefits but this year they really did good. Alot rides on how all the rookies respond next year and how Bryz continues to adjusts to the system.
- kgrpitt

I think bryz will be fine. this year was a learning curve for Bryz, and the Flyers staff on how to deal with him. I am behind G when he said Bryz will be better. I'm not saying he is gonna win a Vez, but maybe numbers like 2.10 and a 92% are possible.

I remember when Giroux was a thoughtless toss-in in so many trade scenarios just a few years back... JvR was the one everybody wanted to keep at all costs.

Schenn's going to be a beauty.

Scouts possess something fans do not: patience. And maybe foresight. And perhaps a better assessment of a player's game.

Ok, more than one something.

Maybe, I kinda of think the other way. Offensively, maybe, defensively I don't agree

If he does indeed put those type of numbers up then they have a good chance at winning the conference and making it far in the playoffs. As I mentioned earlier, you got alot of production from unknown areas such as the rookies. You guys think the rookies can replicate the success they had in the 11-12 season?

He really is. He could easily be very similar to Mike Richards is now in a year or so.

I'll be just fine if we stand pat and tweak the roster in FA by adding a defenseman who can lay the wood on opposing forwards, and a defensive oriented forward with some size who can do the same thing.

Hey, I want them to make a few minor tweaks and stand pat more or less.

Your rooting for the wrong team then, flyers are far from patient but you know this already.

Weber actually fills a need though. Stamkos was more a pipe dream.

Schenn reminds me of Dustin Brown.

Coots reminds me of skinny Keith Primeau

I know. You're not the "average" fan.

Pretty much what I want. The youngsters should be even better this season. I would love nothing more than to hear about the Flyers' "sophomores" or "second-year players" all season long.

I think so. Read is 25 so he isn't really a true rookie. Schenn has been around some too. Cooter seems to be a special type of player. I think it may not be a well as last year, however, I think they will be fine. I see Homer adding another scorer just in case. What's up with your defense. You guys are in the same boat with us it seems.

Yes, but I also think that standing pat and letting the current team grow is a good strategy that may be better than trading a ton of assets for one player.

I just look at the Kings. They were patient and built from within, then they made the bold moves. I'm not sold that simply adding Weber right now, with the resulting assets sent to Nashville makes the Flyers that much better in 2012-13

I am fine either way. It seems like the Flyers always find a way to be a good team. If they resigned Carle and added another player like Garrison and maybe a Burish or Moen, then I'm a happy camper. Jagr could be back, if not, extend Vorechek for 3 years and lets see what this team can do. TDL we can always add.
