Return the #CBJ is looking for in Nash varies from club to club, depending on club's assets. Generally speaking, they want 3 to 5 assets.

My opinion: Nash could easily be a 40 goal, 90 point guy in right situation - a coach w strong demands, a capable center, full role on PP/PK - stveshdy
I just cant imagine that Homer thinks this makes any sense. Bill may have to hand deliver to him his Blog from a few days ago to make sure. |

There is 0% chance (IMO) we make a deal for Nash.
Suter is different, but I say <5%.
For Parise, I saw <10%
For Bobby Ryan - that would be awesome. <10%
For Weber - <10%

my guess is - I think your %ages are about right. Much more likely we just resign Jakub, Jagr and Carle and basically be done |

I learned this lesson last year at this time when I said there was zero chance that Carter and Richards would be traded. |

That was a shock to just about 99% of us last year that both would be traded, and within practically minutes of each other.
But I realized a long time ago that anyone could be traded after the great one was moved to the left coast. |

I find it interesting that Al Morganti is sure Parise ends up here. He's the one guy everyone is talking about that would really appeal to me. |

Question: as i understand it, JVRs NMC does not kick in until 7/1 when his extension begins. Why would a player agree to an extension with a delayed NMC? Shouldnt they insist on the NMC being effective the day the extension is signed (can they do that under the current CBA?)? I would think JVR would have been concerned about this in light of what happened with Carter. Otherwise, it seems to set up a window that allows for a JVR to be held out as trade bait on a longer term cap friendly deal. |

he's not eligible for that baby until july 1, 2016, i believe. those clauses don't kick in until a player is eligible for unrestricted free agency. cba rule. |

#2 - that would be great.
#3 - I'll take bets
#4 - Don't know why I am numbering this crap |

I wasn't shocked with Carter. Dump his salary to sign a goalie.
Shocked as hell with Richards. Didn't really like that trade. Moving forward, happy with Schenn and Simmonds though. Life moves on.
