No, haha. Kept his name the same, obviously. But I gave him sweet handlebars.
Freak. - Brian Huddle
Lol It was more for the comedy, My wife (fiancee at the time) would walk in to see the sex scene and be like "What the hell are you doing?" I would reply "I'm trying to save the universe! DUH!" |

Starcraft? meh, I played Diablo 3 and beat it 3 times. I enjoyed it but it's nothing like Diablo 2, Starcraft was fun as a kid when I was bored but S2 doesn't thrill me. RTS games bug me cause I like to rush in and attack everything immediately. - wolfos412
Meh, I liked the strategy involved at the high level of play i'm at. Its such a growing scene right now, its awesome.
And Blizzard royally (frank)ed up on d3, d2 was gold though.
Its sad that they booted out Blizzard north, and brung in new people who completely ruined the game.. |

I might look into it if you tell me it's worth it, I mean the price dropped down to 39$ now so it's not too bad. I kinda miss Zeratul |

Sorry for killing your Blog Huddle.
Back to hockey. I'm trying to picture Toronto Next year. What do you think Galchenyuks time frame is to reaching the NHL? It would be nice to see him immediately make an impact but it's never good to rush.
Lupul - Galy - Kessel
Kulemin - Grabo - Kadri
Crabb - Bozak - Frattin
??? - Stecks - Brown
Phaneuf - Gunnar
Gardiner - Shultz
Schenn - Holzer?
???
Reimer
I wouldn't mind trading Franson, Liles and dump the others off somehow (impossible I know) Komi, Army, Lombo, Conolly... |

I'll jump off a bridge if that's the Leafs next year, lol. And Gally likely goes back a year just because of the knee-- but pushes for a big role the year after.

Is that a happy suicide or a depressed one? Because I really didn't change much to the team I only see us needing to bring in 2 players via trades with Franson + Liles, bringing up Kadri Frattin + possibly Holzer and shifting Bozak where he belongs.
But if Gally needs a year then that kinda wrecks stuff. |

Suicide.
It's not even in the talent level. I want a complete restructuring of the team to play hockey a different way. People talk about Bozak as a 3C, but he fits as that type of player within a Top 9 system. A Burke/Carlyle system relies on a 3C to be used in a matchup situation and check the other teams top players, whereas a 3C in a Wilson gameplan plays easier minutes and responds by putting up pts.
Team should look like this, IMO:
Lupul - __________ - Kessel
_________ - Grabovski - Kadri
Kulemin - ________ - Frattin
Brown - Steckel - _______
Phaneuf - Gunnar
Gardiner - Schenn
_______ - ________
Move bodies out as needed, and fill holes as needed. No more open ended hockey. I want to see real hockey. Carlyle hockey. |

Ok that was pretty close to what I had, Just remove Bozak and put Kuli on the 3rd. Fair enough. I still think Gardiner and Shultz would be good in Carlyles system, but if you disagree, you have to admit that Holzer is a shoe in to his system only thing he needs to do more is hitting. |

With Underhill working on his skating, and Carlyle structuring it up, Schenn is someone I expect to break the slump of his bad year. |

Mean hockey is fun, if you have the skill to compliment it. I see Yakupov fitting a Mean hockey style, but not really in Gally or Grigs or quite a few of the top 10 prospects... well forwards atleast. |

Agree to disagree =P
My take is that you use skill down the middle and compliment that with crash/bang on the wings. |

So get rid of Kessel?
I'm not trying to disagree, I was just trying to see how Toronto could be a Mean team with who they have, I see Lupul, Kuli, Frattin, Crabb, Schenn working... Grabo to me works too just because he has the attitude and mindset of an aggressive person though he lacks the size. |

If he's your one Top Six Winger who's a game breaker, and then you surround that with crash/bang, than it'll work, IMO.
My wish, though, is that the team can throw out a matchup line with a bit more bite to them. Expecting Bozak to go against the Malkins of the world is just insane. I'd want to be able to throw out the likes of a Brandon Sutter or a Paul Gaustad. |

I'd love to have Jordan Staal...
K Huddle, Throw out a Leaf linup that you would like to see next year that's not actually impossible to imagine. Including trades you would do. |

I'd rather not have people hate me, haha. Me personally? I'd target a center (Getzlaf? Staal?) who has two-way abilities for the top line. I'd target a guy like Stoll or Gaustad to play on a matchup line. I'd also target a bigger winger to play with Grabovski and Kadri. I'd be willing to use 2013's first rounder if necessary, as well as other future assets and current assets like MacArthur, Franson, etc.
Then I'd restructure the D a bit. And go with Reimer/Scriv next year. |

I have no problem with that, I assume the Reimer Scrivens thing is because restructuring the D would fix alot of problems, along with the team buying into the Defensive system? |
