I'm curious to see what the turn around is like for a team that was like top5 or 6 in scoring (and bottom 5 goals against) to turn into a defensive team.

Part of the reason I would be happy drafting Faksa is that if we can't get Galchenyuk or Forsberg, I would rather not make a risky pick. Faksa can be a second line C and if not I bet he projects to be a good shutdown C with his size and defensive abilities.

My only issue with trading the 2013 first is that it seems to create this cloud of negativity that hangs over the team's head for the duration of the season. I would rather trade the picks closer to the draft once you have assessed its value. Players like Cammalleri are traded for mid round firsts in years past on the draft floor.

Minnesota's really going to have a dynamic offense if some of their draft pciks pan out. It's too bad Yeo coaches such an inept system.
