"We are prepared to go forward on that basis," Burke said. "If we can upgrade at the goaltending position, and at a reasonable price, we’ll do it. But are prepared (to go with Reimer-Scrivens). I believe in James Reimer. He’s young, he’s athletic, I believe in this kid. If we have to start like that, we will."

impact forward - more or less what I meant by 3rd liner with grit.

but I swear this team had better make a move for a goalie to atleast HELP Reimer...I think it would be rather foolish to run with those two again. I see it hapenning, I actually dont see Burke getting Luongo based on how low he wants to pay, and how low I would be happy with as well. Gillis will want some real assets from someone...not something we should give.

just sign someone like biron for a year or two .. vet prescence.. not an all star by any means.. but reimer has the skill.. however when his confidence gets derailed and just needs a guy to step in and give him relief

Or let Reimer and Scrivens duke it out. Best case scenario, they emerge as a true 1A/B tandem, worst case scenario, both don't play well, and we draft high again next year

Cox saying what most of us are saying, or at least thinking.

My money's still on

Kadri
Komi
35th

Hell I'd even throw in 2013's 2nd if we knew that we could turn around and flip Reimer to CBJ for LA's 1st.

In which case I'd be all for drafting Dansk

- AngryWhiteMale

Come on dude. No where does Damien say the Leafs will trade Kadri. IN fact, I can flat out guarentee you that the idea of including Kadri in a trade for Luongo is flat out ridiculous.

Not as ridiculous as people acting like they know what they are talking about when they talk about draft picks, but pretty damn ridiculous none the less.

If the system is not fixed in Toronto, it wont really matter if its Reimer, scrivens or Biron in net. Hopefully Carlyle can tighten up the D so our goalies can get some confidence and run with it. Biron looks good because he played on a good team with a good D. I would argue his numbers would not be much better on TO last year than Reimer/Gus

I hear ya, and it sounds good in theory to a leaf fan....prolly not so much to a seasoned veteran looking to play back-up on a contender as his career winds down.
NYR or Philly have a wee tad more to offer I'm sure.

Google-What does decalisse mean?

Answer: Decalisse is a swear word from the french from the province of Quebec (Canada) and it is quite vulgar.

... google still didn't answer my question.

I'm with you.
Mid season, I woulda said grab Harding/Biron/Vokoun etc....but after the way Scrivens improved over the year, he deserves a shot.
