No to Luongo is what I'm saying. He will melt in the Toronto spotlight and pressure and that contract will only haunt the team for years... - Gunslinger
If he didn't think that pressure was something he could handle he wouldn't come here.
Considering the grilling he gets in VAN and his general performance I wouldn't think pressure's a huge problem for him |

Yeah, he's a make it or break it pick like Huddle says. And I don't think we can afford to do that. I want a sure thing, a stud, don't care what position. |

Odds are we'd be able to trade down and still grab him as Teravainen will go along with Dmen in 6-8 - AngryWhiteMale
I could live with that |

I don't care what he thinks he can handle. Luongo is a good idea today but that contract is brutal for years. No to Luongo and no to trading Kadri for him. |

He will be of no use to us: he'll get us into the playoffs, followed by a 1st round exit, rinse and repeat. He's not the type to carry us deep into the playoffs; if he was, surely Van would be putting Schneider on the trade blocks, not Luongo, while they're still in their (narrowing) margin of true Stanley Cup contention. |

Anyway, I just want to get my son a Grigorenko jersey, so it would be good if it was a Leafs jersey - GoneFullRetard
The Remparts Jersey is pretty sweet, my fave among Junior teams. |

I'm not saying we'd blow the league away, but I wonder what kind of impact a decent goalie would have on the confidence and performance of the young players in front of him, mainly schenn.

In my very humble, not huddle, opinion the only sure players in this draft are Yak and Murray. |

So ANA's at 6, MIN @ 7.
If we give MIN a call and offer them the chance to draft a Dman before ANA, they might be enticed, as much of the top 12 are Dmen, and MIN may have a one particular guy in mind, like Rielly.
In that case it might be worth it....MIGHT.
Like I said, if Forsberg or Galy's free then take 'em - AngryWhiteMale
Anaheim might go for Faksa though, I really wouldn't mind taking Faksa but not at 5. I doubt the Wild would do that. Maybe for something like this:
To TOR: 7th overall, 46th and a 2013 2nd
To MIN: 5th overall, 126th, 209th

Realistically in this draft, everyone has question marks.
Yakupov's wreckless play
Galchenyuk's injury
Murray's offensive upside
Grigorenko's age and work ethic
Forsberg's offensive upside
TO finally gets a good pick and it's a dumb draft with not a lot of sure things.
Just our luck. |

I'm looking at 'mynhldraft.com' and actually like the order they're saying, except that if NYI aren't picking a Dman, then they'd take Forsberg over Grigs any day of the week.
They took a centre in Strome last year so they'd take a winger/c over a natural C in Forsberg - AngryWhiteMale
Forsberg is a winger |
