Lupul's talent and compete level is about the level of a 65-70pt player in the NHL. The ONLY reason he hasn't hit these numbers consistently is because of his string of injuries (one which almost cost him his career).
Is he a pt per game player? No. Therefore by definition I agree with you that his production will drop....but irrespective of system, I don't see it dropping to 50-55pts
you can get killed if you get hit in a certain area if you have mono... this kid was playing (frank)ing hockey, you get hit every time.
And my sister contracted mono before, she barely had enough energy to walk, and this kid was playing hockey? A lot of people underestimate the affects of what mono can do to your body, and this kid still got 10 points in 11 games and thats a bust? wow. - peddy-93
One of our best players had mono growing up playing hockey....
He missed the entire season....didn't even participate in one practice.

it was in the article about grigs having mono.. i believe it enlarges your spleen and if u get hit there and it ruptures you can die from blood lose.. not 100% sure though - peddy-93

EXACTLY. This is why the media needs to STFU and tone it down when it comes to the Leafs. This is also a big part of the reason why many players don't want to come to Toronto to have their lives under a microscope. If Grigorenko is a KHL risk, you can bet that the media will help that along.
I'm not trying to make excuses for the Leafs, but I believe that the Toronto media has done just has much damage to this franchise as poor management has (if not more) over the years.
Sadly though, Leafs coverage in Toronto generates money for every media outlet and considering that corporation's primary focus is to generate profit/revenue, douche bags like Simmons and Cox are going to continue spewing their garbage. - As_I_See_It
He's not an angel, so the media will take liberties on his personality. Every prospect has question marks around them - very few projections are "guaranteed".
However, if he is actually 20 and not 18; that does make a difference.

See what just happened? Craig Hartsburg, the head coach of Everett and the guy that made Ryan Murray the youngest Captain in franchise history has just been hired as an assistant coach by Columbus.
If that's not foreshadowing, I don't know what is.
