I believe the Flyer attraction to Ryan will prevail and they will offer up a very competitive package. The price will be steep but this is something the Flyers have wanted for a long time.

Anaheim would definitely want a better package. And I'm not certain why they'd want to move laterally for a less established player.

Anaheim needs defensive help right? What about Voracek and Meszaros, maybe a prospect for Ryan, then you can still trade JVR, and either Read or Simmonds and the 2 firsts for Weber. I know... not likely, but who knows what Homer can do. To replace Meszaros you resign Carle to 5 mil a year, and lets say you sign Weber for a 7 mil cap hit. Can someone run these numbers to see if it would work?

I would guess it would take a 1st going back with jvr. I would do that. Why the hell would the ducks want to trade him? Unless he quietly wants out of there.
