justin schultz plsssssssss - OrangeBlack27
seems like he would be a nice pick-up. i have no idea how well he's gonna transition into the nhl this year, but a young, offensively talented, puck moving d-man on what will be a cheap contract sounds like a good thing to me
and he's right-handed |

Hoods with money. The worst kind.
Do we see baseball and hockey players bringing guns in the locker room? Punching fans? Raping? Drug possession? DUIs?
I feel sorry for kids that idolize these thugs.
Idolize Giroux. That's a role model. That's an athlete. Or Jagr. Or Talbot. Lapperiere. Thome.
Not Kobe or Lebron or Big Ben. - Giroux_Is_God

Im so gangsta im so gangsta.......I wish some of them would do something besides going to clubs and shooting themselves or involved in illegal activities. The reason im in to hockey is because it truly has the best nicest people playing a game. I remember practicing at the coliseum and having recci sign my poop. never forget it. You wont find as many bumholes in hockey as you do in those two sports. - Philly1980
i'm sure there are plenty of football and basketball players that are terrific guys, Goebbels. |

It's never about a player being replaceable. You don't overpay for a player such as Ryan, because the players your giving up are deemed replaceable. You don't make that deal of Schenn, Read, and Bourdon, because you think some of them are replaceable. That's bad management. And with some of the trade proposals such as that one for Ryan, he is indeed overrated if you think that's a good deal. Ryan and JVR at 9.3, or Nash at 7.8? And why can't you have two players on the same team that play the same style? - MJL
You can have two players that play the same style on the same team. What I'm saying is that it's usually not for that kind of money, although I guess the Kings just went out and proved that to be wrong paying $25M+ for their top 6 forwards.
I see that deal as Schenn and Read for Ryan with Bourdon as the throw-in sweetner, much like Sbisa was. Ryan has managed to stay healthy and has shown good promise. Not that Schenn or Read haven't either. It comes down to how much you value having a top line forward to play with Giroux imo. There aren't a lot of guys out there that can do it without costing you a lot (salary cap wise). Which of those two would you give up to get Ryan (assuming you wanted him)? What do you think is a "good" management deal then? |

This alcohol debate is not going to end well...
we should move on to another topic, such as another trade proposal and then people saying it doesn't make sense.

You can take ANY hockey team and find more of those genuinely nice guys that are great role models than in the NBA and NFL combined.
I'd also say that hockey players do much more work within their communities than baseball (obviously ignoring basketball and football).... |
