I doubt Colorado wants to move Johnson. They gave up Stewart and Shattenkirk for his punk ass. - stveshdy
I know, we shall see what happens. I am hoping tho |

Can't say he is completely undeserving. He had a hell of a season, but to me the Hart voting frequently seems skewed by scoring numbers almost the same way the Norris voting goes. I certainly think you can make a case for other Hart candidates that were equally valuable to their teams, but didn't score as much. That said, I don't have a huge issue with Malkin winning it this year.
Personally, I would like to see a rule that prevents players from winning more than one award per year. So if you with the Art Ross, you can't also win the Hart. You win the Vezina, you can't win the Hart. Etc., etc. There are issues with that approach too, but I just think it's more fair to spread it around (and probably better for the league and the fans). - BringBack25
Malkin looked like he had a lot of Hart his last game of the playoffs as he was giving James Neal poop on the bench of botching a play. |

tampa's goaltenders had a sub .900 save % for the year. that absolutely abysmal in today's league. but the bolts not trading for a 'tender has nothing to do with stamkos and shouldn't affect whether or not he's worth of MVP nomination. - OrangeBlack27
1-3-1. High powered offense. |

The Rangers won 62% of the games that Lundqvist started. They won 60% of the games that Marty Biron started. MVP my ass. - Jsaquella
I think I know where you are headed. And I believe I agree.
Biron was underrated all season and should have been in at least the top 5 for MVP.
Maybe he can build on this past year and get the recognition he deserves in 12/13 |

For finishing with Bro I think you deserve a gold star too from Mookie other wise I see this as complete bias to the other guy's opinion. |

don't think stamkos had much to do with tampa having the absolute worst goaltending in the league by a mile. that should not work against him. - OrangeBlack27
Agreed. Stamkos was a reasonable Hart nominee.
But any team that plays that 1-3-1 should be automatically disqualified from award eligibility for being a disgrace to the game.

Players should win what they deserve to win. If that means one player wins more then one award. Then so be it.

In that situation (84-85 I think) the Hart clearly should have gone to Semenko for keeping Gretzky alive long enough to score ~200 points. Duh.
See, it's a great system!
