Nah man, the kid was a rockstar this season.
While his defense was average, but the guy outscored every other d-man in the league by 25 points. A lot can be overlooked and forgiven when you're beating your peers by a margin this big, especially when you're only 22 years old.
Both Boston/Nashville make the playoffs without Chara/Weber, there is no way in hell the Sens make it to the post-season without Karlsson.
Ps. To those who laughed at my Karlsson/Lidstrom comparision earlier this week... Here is Karlsson's first step!  |

Stopped reading right there.... no point in going further. If you are writing a guy off cause he played ECHL, may I remind you that the man that just won the Conn Smyth played in the ECHL and the following year he split time in the A and the NHL and then went on to become the starter (last 3 years). LA is sure glad they didn't pass him over cause he played in the ECHL.

I never said I had wrote him off just pointing out reasons why we shouldn't go into the season with him as our #1. A lot of great players spend time in the ECHL but to compare Reimer to Quick is a stretch to say the least. Maybe he can turn into a legit starter, I hope he does, but my point is I don't think we should start the season with him as our #1 option.
But hey, thanks for your 2 cents after reading a sentence. |
