i can't believe you guys are so petty as to argue this. i'm sure Lupul's trials were something. had he won the award, it would have been well deserved. but how can argue with Pacioretty winning? he had an opponent break his back in the middle of a shift in March, and comes right back the next season better than he ever was. how do you argue that?

Sounds like Lupul, except with his injury, he was bed ridden for a while and wasnt able to do much.

He couldnt go to the movies 1 night later.

He wasnt able to go to the movies 1 night later, like Patches.

I have a blood disease and have clotting problems .... I know what it's like it pretty much ruined my life the fact lupul can even play is amazing .... If I played a pick up street hockey game it could kill me ... The fact he was an all star and put up the numbers he did is crazy

and what the (frank) does that have to do with the extent of his injuries? you realize that terminally ill cancer patients go to the movies every day, right?

Ya man patches should have won just not over lupul another year it would be the right thing... Fact is the NHL gave him the award because it was such a public cloud over the NHL
