The award goes to the player who makes the most dramatic and quickest recovery. The way he went to the movies the day after Chara almost killed him was an inspiration to all players in the League |

Karlsson was suprisingly responsible in his own end for some reputable for dishing pucks and putting them in the back of the net, at the age of 21.
he plays his position well. he deserves some props. |

did they suddenly restructure the award to be handed out to the most overrated, consistently out of position, piss poor leader on the blueline, who misses the net on the most regular basis in the nhl? |

Seriously.
The NHL and CBC have to know that fans really dislike Nickelback. So why would they get them to play?

No i meant our 3 center-man of the future the leafs could look something like this in a year :
Parise(UFA)- Gally -Perry UFA)
JVR(via trade)-Grabo-Kadri
Frattin- Mc Neill(via trade) -Kulemin
Tootoo (UFA)- Colbourne - Brown
Phaneuf-Gunnar
Gardiner-Schultz(UFA)
Franson-Blacker
Robby Lou (via trade)
Reimer
Not Likely to happen but that team is better than what we have right now - Kuleminator
Your quite the dreamer thinking Perry and Parise would/will come to Leafs. Nothing wrong with that, could happen, that would be a dream team for you guys. |

in all seriousness, the BEST thing that could happen to the leafs, is they somehow find a way to NOT (frank) UP their top 5 draft pick, hopefully sign shultz, and sit back. fans need to forget about signing free agents and trading young players (ie schenn, gardiner, etc).
there isn't a quick fix. a proper rebuild takes nearly a decade. the leafs will be a lottery team again next year as well. |

I can't see the leafs doing much this weekend, hope I'm wrong but I'm guessing thing will only pick up after July 1st. Burkie needs to be patient, aquire the many pieces missing (1C, 1G, botom 6 depth) when the right deal presents itself. Trying to go all out this summer and taking the 'best available' will be a mistake and prevent this team from taking the next step (competing for a cup). Even if Burke did go out and get the best avaible this offseason I don't believe we are a cup contender.... so what's the rush?
Draft a solid prospect at 5th
Kick the tires on said position and pull the trigger only if the price is right!
Do not trade any 2013 picks
