He creams all over the Denver Nuggets and even though rumors are we are interested in Suter or Parise, I doubt we land either of them.

I was there for Ryan Smyth's 1st regular season return to the Edmonton Oilers. The fans went wild. Ryan was crying. Some fans were crying. It was a pristine moment. A year later, and half the fans want him gone. Why? It's not the Ryan has changed; we've changed. Ryan is the Ghost of Christmas Past. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is the Ghost of Christmas Future. I don't totally disagree with what you have said, but he still has to look out for himself and his family somewhat when getting a contract. As i read yesterday, wanting a 2 year deal at his age, isnt asking too much for 2 mil per. Question is whether he is ok with a reduced role and playing third line minutes.

I am only hoping that these rumors of his poopty attitude arent true as i think he can be a great vet on the team moving forward. May have lost a step but that mofo can still deflect the puck in front of the net with the best of em on the PP. I would hope that at his age he realizes that he could benefit from reduced ice time as he has banged and crashed his body, well mostly his nose, to hell during his career.

I wouldn't say that we think other team's fans envy Leafs because you bash them. You bash them to get on Leaf fans nerves because it's the thing to do in Canada. Toronto has the reputation amongst Canada that it believes it is the "Centre of the Universe" and think it deserves everything. Considering that the largest part of the Canadian population is from Southern Ontario and most of the Canadian large industries are based here... it's not far from the truth. But with that comes the self-absorbness that Torontonians have which we deserved to be mocked for... it comes with the territory.

However, I will say there's envy when other fans complain that there are too much of the Leafs on TV and that's just due to the same reasons above.

I thought i read somewhere that he wanted more than a 1 year deal and the oilers only wanted to give him a 1 year contract? I dont blame him at his age, with a family that he demanded to be traded back to edmonton for, that he wants to know where he will be further ahead than a year. If he is holding out for more than the 2 million that is offered, then he is everything you have said about him and i hope he is traded or signed as far away and to the worst place he could possibly play
