I was far from happy with Bryz's play this season, but I have every confidence that he will return to form next season. |

There were no pathetic excuses offered. Again, it was staying positive and supporting the player. And most who continued to support Bryzgalov acknowledged that he had to get better, and play better. - MJL
You know what i found amazing? In the Pitt series when Fleury was playing bad, they were cheering for him trying to boost his moral. We choose to focus on the negatives and boo a struggling player to the point where he is bood out of town. WE give no second chances here and we wonder why we havent had a goalie in such a long time. Every goalie struggles and has bad years. |

My theory is what if Parise decides to sign with Nashville and then Suter stays? - Philly1980
If Parise signs with Nashville, and Suter decides to stay, then Nashville will almost have to trade Weber to make the money fit. However, I don't think the Flyers are going to wait until July 1 to find out if they will be able to trade for Weber or not, so unless Nashville already knows they can get Suter to sign, I dont think they will trade Weber before then. |

Defense and goaltending wins championships. In the playoffs the games are much tighter. I'm not concerned with scoring but you can't be in the bottom 10 in GAA and expect to win a title, IMO. |

One of the reasons I HATE Eagles fans... They never rally behind guys... and its now one of the reasons I am starting to HATE casual Flyers fans.
People are so completely ignorant to the actual sports. They see these guys and think they are immortals, machines, not human, incapable of mistake, but when they have a bad game, or are not playing up to expectations.. its like they are damaged goods.
JvR is an example. We draft him and people are pumped. He decided to go to college (his personal choice I might add), and people flip poop. How selfish is he to wanna go to college.. thats not good for his future or our team.
What people dont think about is the fact that the guy was a kid, who maybe wasnt exactly mentally ready for the travel.. and every day grind that is professional hockey.
But now he is coming off of a disappointing season, and people talk about him like he is the second coming of Alexander Daigle. Jesus ppl.. sit back and relax.
I have idiots on my hockey team who honestly think that if we had gone with Leighton this year we would have beat NJ... How can ppl be so (frank)ing ignorant to the actual proceedings? |

I sure MAF's cup winning performances, overall record and lack of excuses played a role... |

Flyers fans, in the playoffs this year, for the most part were just sitting there casually watching the game like it was the middle of January. At least it seemed like that from my couch....Fans in previous years put these people to shame. |

Bryz overall record is actually pretty good, and he also has a cup.
Ilya Nikolayevich Bryzgalov (Russian: Илья́ Никола́евич Брызга́лов; born June 22, 1980) is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the second round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, 44th overall, by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
In 2006–07 NHL season, Bryzgalov won the Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks. Internationally, he has earned a Bronze Medal with Russia at the 2002 Winter Olympics, and a Silver Medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships. Ilya also competed in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, and is a 3-time Olympian. He helped Team Russia as starting goaltender win back to back Gold Medals at the 2009 World Ice Hockey Championships, making them ranked number one in the world. He was also runner-up for the Vezina Trophy and a top 5 finalist for the Hart Trophy in the 2009–10 NHL season.
Most flyers fans are uneducated booing him like that at home games. Im not defending his play last year but lets not dismiss him as a scrub either. |

3 Reasons. First if they resign Suter then they might not be able to afford both. Second, The reason they would resign Suter over Weber is because if Suter walks, Nashville gets nothing back, but if they sign Suter, then Weber can get them a big time upgrade on offense, and future picks. And Finally because Weber has not resigned yet, he may not want to stay in Nashville, meaning he will only sign a 1 year deal, and become UFA next season. By then Weber's trade value will be at least half of what it is now. |

They didn't have much to cheer about in the NJ series. But they were great in the Pitt series... |

I only understand and agree with the bold.
1- Why, if it was between Weber and Suter, re-sign Suter? I understand you could trade Weber and get a huge package, but you would be giving up the best d-man in the game. The talent gap between Weber and Suter is enormous.. Why play second fiddle.
2- Who says Suter is even re-signing?
3- If you were to re-sign Weber on a one year deal... wouldnt his stock likely be higher around the trade deadline? |

Or they have that player already on the team.
If we were to trade for Nash.. it would likely prevent us from going after top UFA's, because we would be just about as close to the cap as possible. |

I can assure you 99% that Patrick Kane is not coming to Philadelphia. |
