That's your opinion, I would take Grabo over pleks. I'll give you Price and Subban but this is Pacioretty first big season. Kulimen had 30 goals last year, then this year he struggled. How about we wait and see if Pacs can repeat before saying he is better than Grabo? - Allstarzz
Pac scored 14 in 40 games the season before last. he's kept this pace for well over a season. |

I said arguably.
Pleks is a premiere PK/shutdown center, is he not? Only 1 year older, and puts up about the same amount of points.
It's a easy decision to me. |

Oh, that was easy. Pleks gets over 3 minutes of ice time on the PK a game. Grabo? 17 seconds.
Age is similar, Pleks seems to put up higher points...how is this even a discussion?
Grabo is great, but given the choice between the two? No brainer. |

FWIW, Grabo plays against the opposition's top line in a "shutdown" role. If he had softer minutes he'd be putting up more points. Gives a good 25-30 goals in the shutdown role too.

But Pleks puts up more points and on the PK while also playing this shutdown role. So.
Again, nothing against Grabo, but this is a very easy decision, in my opinion. |

I think most gms would share your opinion, not a big gap between both players, but Plek is more proven and more versatile |

The big thing for me is that he leads the Habs in PK time as a forward, only behind Gorges, and he has all that playoff experience.
I like Grabo, but this is a no brainer. |

Hey, good reasoning that. Not like we can just reverse that kind of argument.
You would take a smallish soft 2nd line center who's never got more than 60 points in a season before PK Subban ?
Also, Subban imoproved is defensive side a lot those past 2 years (that's also why is offensive production diminished a bit I think, because the coach had him more focused on D). He's now probably our best D in his zone after Gorges. - Popofjc
i dont agree with the guy your talking to but grabo is far from soft... guy may not make many hits but hes nose first into every corner all game |

There's still a big ? on Galchenyuk. Also, rumors point towards someone else that they like a lot at 2. |

Future number 1 center. Habs building the right way, but it's gonna be a slow process. - tomburton99
Kind of late to the dance here, but I don't think the Habs are far away from contending at all. In fact, I'd say they are a player or two away from competing with Boston for the NE division. They severely underachieved last year. |

They are the worst team in the NHL and that's a no-brainer. |

because you wanna be in agreement with Brian Burke. he's built such a juggernaut in Toronto. - DoubleDown
k it may not be a juggernaut but its considerably better positioned than when he started... he just built his expectations waaaay too high... before he came our youngest player was like 56 and a half... now we may be just as bad but at least its with guys on the way up not on the way down |

Habs fan are so great. If we don't agree with your crap (Price is the best goaltender in the world, Subban is the best young defenseman in the league, Pacioretty will be a consistant 50 goal scorer,...) than we are considered trolls.
That's why I stay away from this site for long periods of time, I'm sick of the abuse from you Quebec people. - thomas81

they have some good pieces but i still think they are a couple years away. Tinordi and Beaulieu probably need at least two years of development. Leblanc needs some more seasoning. Gomez needs to go. But the do have good pieces in place. Subban, Price, Pacs, Plex, Desharnais etc. |
