I agree to to some extent. If Parise said he will sign with no one but the Avalanche, then yea wait till July 1st. Right now is seems like he wouldnt MIND signing with us. Which means other teams can possibly trade for his rights, then persuade Parise to sign with them before July 1st.
IF the Av's are trying to aquire Parise's rights, I am all for it considering he is the top FA on the market, and July 1st he can listen to all the offers he wants. The chances of us signing him July 1st and after are going to be very slim unless he has his heart set in Colorado. |

As a Wild fan, obviously I'd love to see Parise sign here. Bottom line is the home town ties and a boat load of money don't really seem like enough to sway him. The Wild are most likely still a few seasons away from being considered a contender and I'm assuming that will play heavily into wherever Parise signs. And let's face it, Minnesota is not exactly known in the sports world for having the ability to attract big name free agents... |
