Even if this trade was true I doubt anyone would know about it until it's official. The Devils and the Avs are two of the most secretive franchises out there. I doubt anyone, other than head office staff, know what is really going on with Parise.

I know this is how lou does things but the season has been over for a couple of weeks....does he really have so much going on that he can't sit down to sign the captain of the damn team

10 days and there is a bunch of stuff he has to do such as end of year meetings, reviews, and then the draft

also parise prob wanted some personal time after the finals which is understandable, with his wedding coming up

it would have to go through the NHL office and that stuff is pretty public anyone could tell, it would be on NHL.com it wouldnt be a secret

That's what I'm saying. Why would the Devils trade their Captain before even attempting to re-sign him? Literally makes zero sense. Buying a dolphin and putting it in your swimming pool makes more sense.

but if you look at lou's history, and take all those involved by their word (which is all you really can do) then its pretty clear that they havent really talked about a contract

lou doesnt talk contract during the season (proven history) and the season ended 10 days ago, then he has a bunch of other stuff to take care off (exit interviews, season review, other org business +draft) while parise is very important he can wait till after the draft where they still have what 6 days? which is more then enough to get a contract done
