They have plenty of other guys they could use. Brennan is ready now. They also could move Sekera, since that opens up space for one of the others to make the jump now. I guarantee they don't move Pysyk. If he wasn't a right shot, then you'd probably be right, but once I saw that, I knew they have no plans for moving him.

My thoughts exactly! Those are future stars not now stars. We need that one guy at center to round this team out. A big center thats a leader would be nice.

Lehtonen is also an injury disaster. He misses time every year. If I'm not mistaken, he has groin issues. He can be very good, but you never know how many games you're actually going to get out of him.

Sabres Get: G Kari Lehtonen, F Lou Eriksson, and C Steve Ott maybe a 4th rdr?

We give up the better goalie.. they give up the better winger.. they get to choose between a top 4 d-man... and get 2 good picks?

Lehtonen plays hot/cold but could easily split games with Enroth until he is ready.

Tweaking is definitely needed.. I think how much money would be going to DAL would kill it though..

When's the last time any team made a move like that, let alone the Sabres? That's a huge roster shakeup in one shot, which rarely happens in the cap era.

Hodgson is being groomed to be that guy. Lindy already had him working on the PK and I can bet they're going to really work with him defensively. He can learn a thing or 2 from Pommer on how to take away angles and stuff like that.

She didn't necessarily say they shouldn't, just that they aren't going to. It sounds like Pysyk is an untouchable in their eyes.

I think he comes into the year in great shape. I know Roberts has big plans for him. Knowing that he trains there in the offseason gives me the confidence he'll be perfect for that role. They just need to work on his skating, but I think Roberts said they were going to do that this summer.

They have Jack Campbell, yes. The goalie that's been on the WJC team the last 3 years.

Jack Campbell...won gold for the US in the World Juniors in 2010, and bronze in 2011. I don't think Dallas is giving him up though.
